Focus DIY is going in to Administration and will not be taking any further online orders.
For those saying this is not a grabbit please see post here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...=605516&page=8 which was very sucessful on the Grabbit forum the first time Focus went in to Admin...
Please feel free to add any closing dates as and when you hear of them and I will update my post!

Sorry cant see what the problem is with this post????????0

A first time poster posted earlier the Focus were in trouble and to look out for the upcoming Grabbits - because they were a first time poster they got lots of hassle and "spammed" and now their post has gone. My post is just to back the OP up and highlight that perhaps a little more caution should be taken for telling someone they are wrong and having their post deleted.0

Thanks for that, Hope they come back0

Not really a grabbit though is it ? If there was a sale then maybe.0

No its not yet - but then daily I read posts such as "M&S sale starting in 10 days"... "Next Sale starting ..." they arent actually grabbits either. Take this post as a warning that a sale is coming and if like me you are someone who has just managed to get on the property ladder having bought a reposession house in a poor state and has just found out I am being made redundant in July, you might want to monitor for the starting date!0 -
Ahhh I was looking for that posters thread as I saw the grief they got, my OH had told me he had to spend half is day dealing with them because they are going into administration and his company supplies to them.0

Focus were in trouble a few years ago. They were bought out as a going concern, hence no sale or shops closing down (although I think some changed hands around the same time). A retailer going into administration does not automatically mean that there will be a sale, hence this is not a Grabbit (at least not until we have further information).Gone ... or have I?0

Hmmmm I think you are wrong, lots of stores DID close and lots of stock was cleared... please see thread (one of many) from a little known website called Money Saving Expert

I'm guessing there must have been an announcement somewhere- a friend just posted on facebook that they were off to spend their Focus vouchers before it's too late.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0

In fact:
Following notification of an event of default under the senior credit facility, and a realisation that there were no alternatives that could be explored any further, Focus Directors have come to the conclusion that to protect the interests of creditors they have no choice but to seek protection through filing a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
The Directors have sought consent from the business's lenders to appoint E&Y as the administrators. All stakeholders including staff are being informed.
From their website. Sad news.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0
