On some sites you would see only onions!

7 CDs of the same type beats all, of course. Who in their right mind would buy 7 identical CDs?
Absolutely.
Meat is always fair game for a few joints - but you still need to present yourself as a wronged shopper - if you point out that your joints of beef, lamb, the organic kangaroo and duck that you've bought are all wrong, you will be quickly sussed as a serial R&R.
Remember - Tescos just can't get their price integrity together - if meat is your thing there will always be plenty of easy pickings - sure and steady wins the race.
Expensive items - XBOXS and the like - just go for one IMHO - you will probably face a fight anyway with a R&R in the £100s.
Mobiles - I would suggest that 2 is reasonable - many stores have a Bulk Buy limit of 2 or 3 for mobiles.
Games/DVDs/CDs - personally 3 is the maximum I would go for - as someone has said for CDs 'one for the car, office and home' is a reasonable line if questionned.
Games - you can always claim that your 3 darling children won't share their PSP or whatever - hence one game each.
At the end of the day restraint is required if you want to be in the game for the long haul.

You remain a voice of reason - respect - along with the likes of a few other long-standing Dudes from both sides of the Tesco fence....
It's good to see that you and the other veterans can keep their cool when the trolls and trouble-makers make inane post after inane post.

I did not purchase but if I did and the 3 for 2 had not come off then I would have made a trip to CS for an R&R. The offer says 3 for 2 so that is what you should get. The weather station is a little cheaper now I think as well as the 20% discount was on it I think
The 3 for 2 IS still on....plus there is also a further 20% off.
But tbh i can't be bothered with posts that say oh i WANT xxxxx do u think i will get it on r&r.I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

Thanks Gin - you are of course correct.
The straw that almost broke my back was when this numpty was giving another Dude here a very hard time - and then the numpty decided to pm me with some offensive drivel.
Guess I needed some time away to cool off - but hey I'm back now and I've kept the faith.

redfraggle wrote:Had my horriblest experience getting an R&R this weekend. Went to my local store to pick up the Pebl phone - no problem, and a clear R&R. As the CS was processing, the head of security came up and started getting involved, telling CS to only offer me £20 off as "she's been in here doing this before"
I wouldn't mind, but I'm not a prolific R&Rer - he saw me buying 3 U2 CDs 4 days earlier - hardly emptying the store.
I stood my ground and pointed to the price policy - he flounced off at that point grmbling about me.
CS was apologetic at his attitude and began to process the refund. Suddenly Herr Security Guard appears and shouts from 12 feet away to "hold on" and not process the R&R and walks away.
At this point I'm actually shaking - although I knew I was in the right, he was making me feel like a shop lifter. The CS noticed and was lovely - said he had no right to do so, had no authorisation to get involved with CS business and called the store manager to action the R&R.
Complained about the security guard with the store manager but tried to keep a low profile. As I walked out of the store with my free phone, the store manager was radioing for the security guard...
Not great as now I'm known in the store, and fully expect to be folowed by the security around the store as I innocently buy milk and bread. Not too big a problem as plenty of other T stores around and can get my R&Rs
Anyway, enough of my ramble - has anyone had a similar experience with security? And does anyone know whether they are employed directly by Tesco, or whether they are hired by a third party (Securicor etc)
The security are contracted by tesco but not directly employed by them some bigger stores like mine have tesco security staff though that are plain clothed and work mainly behind the scene's, i would'nt worry about them love just dont let them intimidate you !!!!!!! " rent a cops "MADE YOU LOOK

I'll buy a weather station whatever the price or discount. I was simply hoping to be 'informed' of what to expect. I certainly wouldn't ask for an R&R if the request wasn't valid.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
