Tesco misprice discussion area part 15

Had my horriblest experience getting an R&R this weekend. Went to my local store to pick up the Pebl phone - no problem, and a clear R&R. As the CS was processing, the head of security came up and started getting involved, telling CS to only offer me £20 off as "she's been in here doing this before"

I wouldn't mind, but I'm not a prolific R&Rer - he saw me buying 3 U2 CDs 4 days earlier - hardly emptying the store.

I stood my ground and pointed to the price policy - he flounced off at that point grmbling about me.

CS was apologetic at his attitude and began to process the refund. Suddenly Herr Security Guard appears and shouts from 12 feet away to "hold on" and not process the R&R and walks away.

At this point I'm actually shaking - although I knew I was in the right, he was making me feel like a shop lifter. The CS noticed and was lovely - said he had no right to do so, had no authorisation to get involved with CS business and called the store manager to action the R&R.

Complained about the security guard with the store manager but tried to keep a low profile. As I walked out of the store with my free phone, the store manager was radioing for the security guard...

Not great as now I'm known in the store, and fully expect to be folowed by the security around the store as I innocently buy milk and bread. Not too big a problem as plenty of other T stores around and can get my R&Rs

Anyway, enough of my ramble - has anyone had a similar experience with security? And does anyone know whether they are employed directly by Tesco, or whether they are hired by a third party (Securicor etc)

I think of all the jobs my city has lost now that Tesco are only out for themselves and are relocating to make sure they save a few bob after first starting in this city and stating they would help the city. Tesco is a power hungry company out to make as much money as possible and why should'nt i take some of that profit where possible?

They've also cost a lot of petrol stations around here to shut down one by one by undercutting there prices and being open 24 hours like them stations. Which meant people went there for cheaper petrol the other stations have all now shut down and what do tesco do? They stop the 24 hour petrol service meaning you have to go to the other side of the city for some petrol.

Cant stand Tesco.

I'd quite like a 'weather station' thingy to keep in my kitchen and they've got these for £11.98 in Tesco. However, the boxes still have the 3 for 2 sticker on them. Do you think this will work? Would I be entitled to an R&R?

I think Tesco's 3 for 2 now has 20% off

I would have though that the 3 for 2 offer should still be on. I went in yesterday and was looking at some 3 for 2 items. I did not purchase but if I did and the 3 for 2 had not come off then I would have made a trip to CS for an R&R. The offer says 3 for 2 so that is what you should get. The weather station is a little cheaper now I think as well as the 20% discount was on it I think

Just to point out that the 3 for 20 beer ends today, all going back to 2 for 16 tomorrow .....hope they remove all the pos! lol
