vehicle licence plate recognition thing talked about 30 posts or so ago, and would Tesco's have a valid reason under DPA to request details from DVLC or whoever.
I mean...."Well DVLC...we overcharged her, and the cheeky bug*er wanted a refund"..........shouldnt hold much wate
No, Tesco would need to have a bloody good reason to get that info from the DVLC - something along the lines of a criminal offence having been committed or damage done in the car park. Tesco is not allowed to keep a record of your car number plate as a means of identifying an individual, either. They are not allowed to use CCTV footage other than for the prevention of criminal activities. As R&Ring isn't a criminal offence, the stores aren't allowed to use the footage against you, or share it with other stores. The stores are not allowed to circulate your photo to other stores, as you have not committed a criminal offence. I could go on, but I'm sure TE already knows all of this.
TaxiPhil requested the cctv footage of him from HO, (along with all other data pertaining to him held on Tesco's databases, including emails sent between staff) but never received it. He got the other stuff, mind you. A DPA request is a real inconvenience to Tesco, by the way.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Just got 2x20 Fosters (on 2 4 £16 exp 12/12)
The cs tried to refund the difference (cheeky!) when I queried was that correct policy she replied 'yes', I then told her that I thought it was to refund the product, she went 'oh....right.......ok' and proceeded to refund my remaining £16!! Success :T
I was a little shaky, but stood my ground (not normally like me at all!) and OH is very pleased!!Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

I've not yet had a go at this. I was just wondering what you actually say when you go to customer services to get your refund? Do you get many objections from the staff?
Thanks, Kim.Long Live Rock And Roll0 -
