Im sure to an extent that is true but that still wouldn't make Tesco such strong market leaders - Even if Asda and Sainsbury's merged into one company Tesco would still be market leaders and that is not due to the fact they offer r+r.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
TescoEmployee wrote:So your telling me people only shop at Tesco because of their refund policy?? That is an absurd comment so if Tesco suddenly stopped offering r+r or sorted out their pricing issues then they would not longer be market leaders?? Tesco currently have over 30% market share (Double the amount of Sainsbury's and Asda).
Christmas trading is also ahead of plan despite a few glitches with some 'dead' products which are being successfully being cleared out of the business with strong offers etc,
Incidentally, Walmart could easily take Tesco off the top off the pile if it so wished. Sainsbury's is making a comeback. In fact, Sainsbury's is about to undergo a massive image change in order to help gain back its market share.
If you look at the global positions of the top supermarkets, Tesco isn't even in the top 3. I think Walmart is 1st and Carrefour is 2nd. You've got Aldi and Metro up top, too. Aldi is higher than Tesco in the global ranks! In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

There is another employee, who has registered as Tesco Employee(note the space)
Unlike you, he(at the moment) is posting quite sensible posts.
If he starts to post drivel, like you do, we will ignore the majority of his posts....as most of us do with yours.
Have a nice "price correcting" day tomorrow.
You dont bother us in the slightest.

Could you explain why you are so fiercely loyal to Tesco Stores Ltd, even though all the problems you face every single day are down to your employer cutting corners where ever possible. I am genuinely curious to know why you defend your employer so vehemently.

Here go's -
*Sainsburys are indeed making a strong 'comeback' but their marketshare had dimished so much (Down to below 15%) that a comeback will be easier for them and im sure they will announce excellent christmas trading figures as their last few years have been poor so they can easily excel on those figures. Recent marketshare data concludes that Sainsbury's are taking the majority of their extra custom from Waitrose and Asda.
*Walmart could indeed knock Tesco off the top spot in the UK but their plan to diminish Tesco marketshare with the use of Asda stores quite clearly has not worked. Walmart have recently pulled out of the German market as they are not content in being in any country where they can't 'rule the roost'. Walmart have pumped millions into trying to make Asda a success in the UK and are not seeing the results of their efforts - With strong competition from Sainsbury's i wouldn't be suprised if Walmart/Asda didn't give up in the UK.
*And in response to why im so loyal to the company i work for its for a number of reasons - The benefits are good (Profit sharing etc,), also iv worked my way up through the company and i believe they are one of the best bluechip companies to work for. Yes indeed they do make mistakes, they do have internal issues but on the whole they are a very successful fast growing company and i enjoy working for them - Im sure some of you may find that difficult to understand but there you have it;)Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

If your new forum is such a 'secret' then i suggest you don't post about it on here as im sure you would not want anyone from Tesco to discover it. The fact that you have mentioned it will mean im sure that Tesco will now try to find it - Again thanks for the information but maybe in future you should keep things like this to yourselfStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
