Yikes November is expensive in the circumstances think we will have to stick with January

  • I think the tickets start at £45 which is not much more that the Jan ones, and you get the show in that too. But whichever he chooses let me know so I can try and sort something for him.

£49 For Nov and £30 for Jan as far as I can see

  • Ah, that is quite a difference, mind you the dearest ticket is something like £455 + VAT and includes a posh dinner, I'd cook for £100 + VAT :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

  • Hi as it happens I subscribed to your latest diary yesterday and I read your previous two and you certainly been having it tough at least we are in reasonable shape healthwise and I know it is a cliche but that is more important than money. So I am lurking on your thread too :)

    DTxx

Thanks DT, and by all means lurk away on mine :A
BUT, ummmmm, think I must've broke something posting on your thread ..... Before I knew it, I'd replied on several others aswell  Have you got a hidden lurker cure embedded somewhere on here ? :rotfl:
Re the house we have estate agents going in this week they have advised not to sell if at all possible they have been instructed to sell next door which was repossessed by the bank 2 years ago and is in a mess but it is going for a v low price so we really need that one to be sold and hopefully tidied up before we try to sell ours so they are going to see about a long term let but I need to check the tenancy agreements over there etc. as I don't want to be left with tenants I can't get out

Can totally understand that, fingers crossed that someone will feel the neighbours one is a bargain and snap it up then.:money:
In brighter news I made plum crumble yesterday with plums from the garden and picked a few raspberries and blackberries lurking in the veg garden not enough to do anything with but nice all the same still have loads of plums left so need to look into plum jam I think :D before the wasps get them

I am sat here very envious of the mention of having a garden full of plums :( Got some way to go before I can even hope to have the fruit trees *sigh* I am having many ongoing negotiations with my [STRIKE]jungle[/STRIKE] garden ... alas I seem to be on the losing side mostly :rotfl:
Well it seems I was not the only one to have a cunning plan by the time I got home from Mr. Ts OH had sold his car and the money is already in our account don't know whether to laugh or cry in fact have done a bit of both but mainly the latter :o

He said it was the only thing to do and he didn't want to see me upset any more.

So the overdraft is gone, there is money for the current emergency and some to do an essential repair to the chimney and the rest is going off the CCs which will reduce the amount we have to pay out each month and this has given me the boost I need to pay off the rest of the CCs I anticipate about 16.5K left to pay which is a heck of a lot less than 89K when we started

What an amazing man hun, and what a lovely gesture :A

So pleased to read things are looking more positive :)

My garden is a jungle too and these plums are growing outside the carefully placed (about 5 years ago) netting hence the wasps and birds getting more than their fair share and my fruit trees need pruning desperately.

Oh my gosh, DT - I am so pleased for you! What a wonderful thing your hubby has done. I can only imagine the relief you feel now like I was imagining your distress previously. Having support from your OH makes a huge difference in difficult situations. Something i craved and never got from mine :( but I will revel in the glory of doing it all myself when i am debt free ha ha!!!

Am looking forward to watching you slash that debt now. I bet you'll sleep well tonight :D
One step at a time ;)
