pink princess, it looks like our friend white vinegar may be the solution again. Have a look at this article.
I am not sure I would want to soak my mattress with vinegar! I think I would have nightmares that I am a chipI did read the article, and then found a similar one about smells in carpet (specifically cat wee) and I may have to try soaking the smelly patch in my hall with vinegar - shampooing hasn't worked

We did this when dogbot had an accident on the carpet and his wee stinks ( Ive had to throw blankets out before even after washing due to smell lingering) but this really got rid of the smell.

I have a ridiculous amount of food and 3 books and my ipod. Hopefully, that will last me. Might stick my soduku book in too
And I'm in a small hall that belongs to a band - just doing a packup or two and then time to shower/dress and be off!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

they're only at the front of the house - 2 large bays and 2 normal sized windows- we had all the back replaced with the building works last year. I would feel pretty vandalous to rip them out though as they are original and really add to the character of the house (also no cash to do it!:p) A dehumidifier sounds interesting - would it murder the electricity though? Also noise? would it be suitable for the bedroom and would I need another downstairs?
off to work for 14 hours - will try to vote if I a) leave on time at 9.30 (unlikely) and b) cba to cycle to the polling station and c) there aren't queues before it shuts at 10
Birmingham City Council have unfortunately deprived me of a postal vote by not sending me the forms despite being requested twice.

Morning all,
OH has just called - he voted on his way to work and the leader of the council was there (piggers and triker will know who I mean, Carl) asking everyone for their voting number. He got a bit shirty when OH said No. He's our local councillor as well. (and my ex employer until two weeks ago, and I've still not received the promised 'thank you' letter for my 20 years service, grumble, grumble.)
Flying will resume when I can be bothered to get dressed, I've bought some descaler from L1dl so that should help get the bath and sinks a bit more shiny.
My main task of the day though is to wander over to Costa and meet up with an old workmate from a previous job who unlike me was forced to take her redundancy and gossip for an hour or so - it's a hard life isn't it:D0
