    hi all
I am having trouble keeping up with reading these threads, they move so fast, but I am trying hard to keep up with the flying. My house is now so much easier to keep tidy if I do a little bit every day, some days I wake up feeling exhausted and just can't be asked to do anything. I am not naturally a tidy person so it is a BIG achievement for me to get things done.

Today as well as my dailies and todays list I have cleaned all of the downstairs windows inside and out (9 sash windows, 1 ordinary window and 2 sets of french doors with glass panels either side) It took ages. Upstairs windows can wait for another day that is another 9 sash windows and 5 ordinary windows, and they are really difficult to do from the inside.
  • I always get so disorganised when my MIL is staying. She has finally left after 3 weeks so here I am to get my house back! I've actually printed out the list of jobs for monday, tuesday and wednesday and I'm sticking them to the fridge so I am constantly reminded!

Pink Princess Sprinkle couch etc with Bicarb leave for a few hours and then hoover up , I'd also leave a couple of sauces of Bicarb around the house to absorb the smell as well as.

AJ Sorry to hear of your FIL's passing, my thoughts are with you and your OH at this time.

I had a duvet day today but decided that I had to do a few bits before the kids got in from school, so Im know washed and dressed and have stacked the dishwasher, LR carpet needs a hoover as the dog has shreaded a football all over it:mad:

Veggie Lincolnshire sausages have now been cooked, as have hard-boiled eggs, and potatoes for making potato salad.:D

We have to visit Mr T this evening when Mr LW gets in from work, so I wanted something I could just throw onto the plates for dins when we get back. That little lot, with some toms and cucumber, and a few pickled onions will do the job.;) If he wants pud, there are some banananas:D in the fruit bowl.

It'll be Sausage Inna Bun tomorrow, as we have to go and vote, then pick up Mr LW's pal "A" as we've promised to take him to the pub - I still owe him a flagon of cider for helping Mr LW with the new loft ladder. We have some three-fruit marmalade to give him, too, which we made on Sunday.

Pink Princess that sounds really unpleasant, and very scary. Other than putting things out in the garden to air, and see if that gets rid of the burnt pong, I don't really have any suggestions, I'm afraid; hopefully someone will be along soon with something helpful for you.

ETA Ah, I see Happierdays has come up with an idea.:o

jetbag well done, thats a lot in one day. :T:T

I've done nothing since my last post. Kids all going mad and i cannot wait till bedtime. Gonna make some dinner for them and then see if i can get shifted. I'd love to get the main bedroom done tonight, then bath and bed early. :D

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Wednesday - pretty much done - could only face cleaning one third of the bay window in the bedroom as its completely horrendous and mouldy from the winter condensation waterfall  - so I'll do the next bit next week and the following week and then stay on top of it after that.

Jetbag I'm in awe of your window cleaning after my pathetic efforts, but in my defence they are steel framed Crittall windows with 15 little panes in each section and 8 sections to the bay. I did 2 sections.......

Didn't vac as the boy was asleep, but I can do that now I suppose.....

just going to sort tea and do HHI for uniforms (mine) for tomorrow - off to tutorial miles away tonight and got to leave at 6.20 so need to get a wiggle on.
