AJ sorry to hear your news, take care sweetie.
Kids all home and i'm making something to eat, only realised when i got to the school that i hadn't eaten today. Gonna put the kids to work after feeding and then if the house is looking good we'll hopefully go for a walk tomorrow round the forest park/garden centre.
Right food, flying then garden.:DSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
AJ, sorry to hear this but he went peacefully. Take care x
Haven't done any real flying and got a friend coming around shortly so we're going out for a walk. Will try to fly a bit later.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Anyone know how to get a smokey smell out of a damp bit of carpet?
Thanks Piggers

I'd just let it dry and leave it.. the smell usually fades with the dryingLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Aj so sorry to hear your news.... Sleep well, Roy.Anyone ever get the feeling that 'the drugs don't work'? (Meds, might I add, nothing sinister!)
Hope you're having a bit better time of it today.:o
Need to get off my bum and cook some sausages, but having a serious case of cba.... feel free to chuck fluffy mules.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
AJ - thinking of you and your family at this time - it sounds as though you were all able to be at peace about his passing.
got a lot done this morning- mainly dailies. I mopped!!!!
Had a mad morning trying to be at the start of this course I have organised - finally persuaded E to go with her friend to music playgroup and raced up the road on the bus to the childrens centre to be there for 9.30 ish (late!). In the end 11 women came :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j( I had only been able to confirm 8 on the phone over the weekend!) they were all excited about the course, committed and passionate about supporting other women with breastfeeding:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j I feel like all my depressing, getting nowhere work over the last year has been vindicated finally. I'm really excited about co-ordinating these volunteers, I just really really hope the childrens centre don't let us all down.......
Anyway, off to do a nappy and get the boy to sleep then I'm going to strip the beds0 -
aj thoughts with OH and the family
LW fluffy mule incoming. Know what you mean about rattling. But thankfully I haven't got as far as taking pills for side-effects of others. How about we start cooking sausages togetherDH was supposed to be out tonight and I'd defrosted something for him. But now he's in - so sausage bake tonight. He can have the defrosted stuff tomorrow when he's out.
Dog walked again. Haircut decluttered.
Trying to resist the CBA now. I've achieved more in one day today than I have in months. But I don't want to crash and end up feeling like I wasted the rest of it. Grrrr. Go away BD.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
LW - I know the feeling! If it's not my hips rattling then it's all the pills inside me! I'm only 24 and I feel like a right case with all my pills jingling around in my bag.
Have to keep reminding myself that flying is good therapy for my 'overthinking brain', as I like to call it, so must get back on it tonight! Clean house, clean mind.
Cooking sausages... mmmm, sounds good.0 -
Can anyone of you lovely ladies/gents help me?:)
We've had a wildfire at the back of our home. It's been put out now but our whole house now stinks like a bonfire. OH is washing the clothes that were on the line etc, but what about our settee, curtains etc. Is there an easy way rather than washing everything?
The clothes in the wardrobe seem fine but even the mattresses smell:(Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Oh gosh PPrincess - that sounds scary! Can't help with your question, I'm afraid, but I send you very best wishes and hugs xxx
