Snap we have the same with the same problem. I spent hours removing mould in the autumn. After 10 years we have bitten the bullet and are having ours replaced later this year.

I completely swear by a dehumidifier, we had condensation pouring down the walls, and nothing now. Collects about three litres every other day

I have found the missing double fitted sheets, all on our bed...can you tell I have been delegating changing the bedlinen?!

Also I have conquered(sp?) the corner of doom, all my junk, so that's a hotspot defeated for the minute.

Bedlinen in master bed changed and a load of baby clothes sorted out.

The eternal washing has been attended to.

    Don't forget playing sock snap!

We play sock snap as well! 14m old loves it, although he seriously annoys his big sister when he throws them everywhere, laughing like a drain :-)

Flying today, I managed to do my desk and my computer desktop at work, I have a very bad habit of saving files I'm working on to my desktop on the C drive rather than to our network. Not only does this result in a really crowded screen, but it very bad practice as it is not backed up. So all my electronic filing done :-)

At home, changed sheets and washed them, decluttered and aired the room. Threw away yet more rubbish - where does it all come from?!?

Couldn't put the kids clothes away as they were both in bed, but ours are done :-) Am really getting to grips with this flying thing, OH is still a bit suspicious though! Although yet again he has got into the spirit and has hacked back the overgrown shrubs by the front door and put it all in the green bin.

And I've been for a run :-) tired now, though...

Getting married 19th August 2011 to a lovely, lovely man :-)

Aj - Thoughts are with you and OH.

SSL - I have a friend who does the elections and ends up in the same portacabin every time just up the road from where we live. The first year he ran out of food not long after lunch and was worried as there are no shops anywhere near. He was really pleased when the fish and chip van turned up:rotfl:

Have done really well today, bedroom is probably cleaner than it has ever been, floor vacuumed twice in two weeks - unheard of. Clean bedding, surfaces dusted and washed, windows cleaned - OH was very supprised:D

I even vacuumed the stairs though I missed a bit. The black bin is full now as DS has been room tidying. I managed about 30 mins in DD's cesspit but she has now said she is coming home for the weekend in a fortnight so whe will finish it off.

DD has been in London looking for work now for about 6 weeks and was told this time last week that she would be getting work from an events company, she has had 3 calls today, a job at 6.30 tomorrow morning, tomorrow evening at a famous art gallery and an advance booking for the Chelsea Flower show. I'm beginning to feel relieved - I might not get so many calls asking for cash:rotfl:

Pinkcheshirecat... I always give my DD (3.5yrs) a brush to 'sweep'... I tell her mummy's not very good at it and I need her to get the bits I missed. Also, a bit messy, but he can 'help' with dishes. I used to sit DD on the floor, washing up bowl with a small amount of water and washing up liquid (enough for some bubbles to play with) and let her loose with the plastic cups. If you're mopping the floor anyway.... Sometimes we put the radio on and 'sing' and dance while doing it, sometimes I put on her nursery ryhme CD's.

Failing anything else, cbeebies is great for half hour or so... I can be a naughty mummy.

DD's clothes got sorted today, 48 coat hangars later... no wonder I kept wondering where to put them all with not enough hangars (she also has 3 drawers full, famliy are now banned from buying her new clothes till she needs 4-5yrs) Need to go shopping for DS' clothes soon, he's nearly out of his newborn/0-3m clothes.

Did well today, did everything I wanted to aside from washing the windows and changing the bedsheets, which OH has said he will do after the football. Washing the windows will have to wait, seemed to be in and out all day as DD was at her dads (my ex) and had to go to the bank, post office etc, one of those days.
Mummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D
  • I LOVE the sound of sock snap - I've never thought of it - I used to sort them myself......and now they just go in the drawer one by one (blushes)

I like the sound of him washing the dishes too - he is a bit of a tinker (to say the least) and generally manages to wreak more havoc than I have managed to clear up - I'm totally unused to it, my DD was a dream :rotfl:

As for the condensation/mould - I'd agree re the dehumidifier - I did loads of research and mould can only grow above a certain % humidity, if you keep the house below that - no mould. It is incredible how much water it takes out - but if you think about how much water we let loose in the house and how much we've insulated our houses to keep the heat (and water) in. Kettles, baths, showers, DWs, WMs, breathing:D, food on the hob, tumble driers......

    evening everyone

another lovely day - a bit chilly in the shade but still very warm.

LittleMissMPB just get startedi in that corner - pick up the first thing and deal with it - maybe try and do 10 things at a go and then come back and do another 10 - it will soon be done and you will wonder why you were putting it off - we have all been there or have a similar corner! Sounds like a great OH! You just need to pace yourself and do things in small chunks.
Vanilla hope it went ok with your PiL - dont be covering - let them know how bad things are - they probably have guessed anyway (((hugs))) ETA I see things went ok and they are of the same mind as you - if a long stay gets him back on track then maybe thats what should happen - lets hope the hospital agrees - dont be knocking yourself out while he is away - give yourself a bit of a breather - you have had a hard time recently.
lav hi honey - had to chuckle about bubbs going backwards - there will be nothing safe soon!!!!
cycling sorry I missed with the posi vibes - you should have asked last night!! Hope it went better than she expected!
ab7167 cant help with the diet but just wanted to say congratulations on the upcoming nuptials - I am sure you will look fab whatever weight you are - good luck with all the arrangements
scotton aw have a (((hug))) hope today is better for you
pigpen thats great news about the quote and getting the work done quickly too
This flylady lark is strange - what do you do when the place looks habitable?
:rotfl: learn how to keep it that way? or tidy out the cupboards where you hid all the carp?
ajmoney I am sorry for your loss - condolences to you and OH and the family. He is at peace and free from pain and thats the mportant thing. (((hugs))) and love to you all
Toots - that is far too much for one day - I am jealous, you are pushing your luck!!! Glad you are able to use your buggy now, you need a blanket for your knees - it it's good enough for the Queen it's good enough for you. Lots of love xx
Dusty it wasnt that much - a lot of phone calls - sitting down!!! And I am a bit stronger because of my treatment last week too. And yes I should have taken a blanket - I have 3 that I use on the chair - but it was so nice when I left here. Lesson learnt!
SSL hope your day goes well tomorrow - sorry to hear about the job but I am sure there is something better waiting around the corner (((hugs)))

I do wonder if its worthwhile trying to find the source of the problem. Like Dusty, I think our problem is the windows. They are ancient and have no ventilation. I'm looking at replacing our windows this year.

I have a ridiculous amount of food and 3 books and my ipod. Hopefully, that will last me. Might stick my soduku book in too :D
