No Buying Toiletries in May Challenge

Hello
Hope I can join in.
..snipped!...
Hopefully I'll be back soon with more UU's.
Gwenx:beer::j:T
I've got a Usey Uppy.
UU Filextra moisturiser WIBA? Probably not. It was excellent on arms, neck and decolete, but I couldn't bear the feel of it on my face. It definitely had an instant plumping effect (as most moisturisers do) but I'm not sure if it did anything amazing for me long term. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. UU – Skin Therapy exfoliating facial wipes
WIBA – No – not sure of the efficacy – but I have another pack of 25 to use
IN Fruit of the Earth Shea butter & aloe vera skin care lotion – 325 ml x 2 (twin pack)
Though more has come in than been used up, I have denied myself buying quite a bit from offers in Morrisons and Sainsbury's.0 -
I remember Tony Blair saying Labour would do something about this but nothing changed apart from parents facing a backlash from schools who threaten to fine those parents who do take their kids out of school.
My mom works in a school, the parents get fined £500 per parent child (2 parents fined £100 per child, 1 parent fined £50 per child). But, even if they have 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 kids, get fined upto £600, they're still saving about £1000 by going in term time, so theyre still saving £400!!Dr_Roberto wrote: »thought I was going to have a in but since when did boots get rid of urban decay!!!!
They got rid of UD!?!
I'm so proud of mself, The Partner dragged me into Boots to get aftershave, and I abstained from buying ANYTHING =] **does the "saved money dance"**charlie792 wrote: »Thats pretty impressive lol. I once met fox from gladitors but i was about 5 at the time and she came to my school for a sports thing. Everyone elses is much better than mine - mum has met (and done work for) david attanburgh (sp?) and tony hart - apparently thats not his real name. OH's list is pretty impressive, well to me at least. His great (great?) granddad was a well known artist and walt disney himself offered him a job but he turned it down lol and OH once scored a goal against ryan giggs + met others in random situations - ie. Jodie marsh in mcdonalds + his band were @ recording studios in cardiff and he ended up meeting matt tuck (i doubt anyone know who i mean) as bullet were recording thier album there at the time
Claims to fame? Theo Walcott's girlfriend and David Suchet's daughter are both at my uni, on my course and in my year =] but thats it for me I'm afraid lol. The Partner used to work in Kensington and Chelsea so regularly used to see famous cricketers/footballers about in places =]

Oooh, claims to fame: My Great Aunt was the last governess to Keiser Wilhelm (I think the 2nd?) the last one anyway. I am decended from the people who owned the Longleat Estate but we were disowned when a female married a servant. I have met Eamon Holmes, Anthea Turner, Deuce (anyone remember them?!), Lorraine Kelly (she's lovely!), Cheryl Baker, the chap who used to do the weather on GMTV (don't remember his name sorry!). Erm, Darren Day. East 17, Andi Peters, Emma Forbes (she said I smelled nice!), Katie Hill, Trev and Simon. Probably more. I've been on GMTV, Live and Kicking and been in the magazine Top Sante.
My cousin is a camera man for AlJazeera, my sister works in the archives for the BBC.
Sounds exciting but I actually have a really boring life!
Oh and the best one: I had a thread on here featured in Martin's weekly email when DS lost his teddy bear. The thread actually featured top 3 on googles search page when searching for RAF WaddingtonDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

But how will they know I haven't done that at 5 other stores too....
sorry to snip and don't know if it's been answered but there's a birthday stamp on your card that the store stamp once you redeem your card so it can't be used in more than one store.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Welocme paula74 and gwen80.I've a few SBC bits too, namely christmas gifts from Mum (who is obviously a QVC nut!) mainly the Arnica bath soak & gel and a cooling leg gel.... I love the Arnica stuff...
Me too!:DForgot to say I had another UU yesterday. Bottle of Philosophy Amazing Grace Shower Gel (the full size) WBA but obviously not for very long time. Will put this on my shopping list for Orlando but may hold out until nearer Christmas time as QVC tend to have this one at a good price most of the time.
This is another favourite of mine. QVC have a lot to answer for, lol!:D
I have to confess an in - Decleor Aroma purete moisturiser. In my defence it was ordered beore I joined this challenge.:o

Loving all the claims to fame! Our family's current favourite is that my BIL was working for the Royal Protection Squad at the wedding - his shoulder and the back of his head feature in most of the newspaper shots of Posh & Becks arriving at the Abbey!
I have a UU - the Mitchum deo finally ran out this morning. I will be getting another one out of the stash ready for tomorrow morning.Everything else is running on as normal though.
My handcream is starting to run low but hasn't gained the rank of splutterer yet. After being so proud of myself for going into Boots yesterday and coming out empty handed I realised I actually needed nail varnish remover! Doh!

On the subject of claims to fame, my great grandparents had a music hall act in the early part of the last century and shared the bill with both Charlie Chaplin, and Stan Laurel. There's a family story that my great great grandfather (or something?!) was a stone mason (that bits true) and fell in love with the Duke of Norfolk's youngest daughter and they eloped. I am a bit dubious about this, but u never know. I saw Alan Bennett on Leeds station, but he lives in Leeds so not that amazing, and I shared a multi story carpark lift with John Peel. He was very polite, but again we lived in the same town so not that incredible. Such a shame he's gone
but his wife is lovely and very involved in local projects. Thanks to the People's Millions we now have "The John Peel Arts Center" in the town, for all kinds of groups involved in the arts :j
Back on topic, I used up a sample of Paul Smith rose perfume. WNBA, wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. And I've bequeathed my Angel perfume oil to DD's bestie, so that should be gone tomorrow when I see her. Perfume really is my downfall, perhaps once I reach 100 I'll stop:o:eek:0 -
Both my Blanx toothpaste and Listerine mouth wash are now spluttering. I have back ups for both in my stash already so no need to buy for a while.
The rest of the splutterers are still going.
