Yay, my first UU:j - Molton Brown Warming Eucalyptus and Ginger Body Scrub. WIBA - definately, though I think it will be some timr before I get through the scrubs I already have! - loved this product. The scrub was was very scrubby, but not scratchy and did not fall off your body as you were using it. The oils it conatined were very moisturising.

Welcome Gwen and any other newbies I have missed.

My claim to fame is that Kitty from Emmerdale is my next door neighbour, also David lives just up the road (think he's called David, Eric P's son), also ran into Eric P in Asda. Also saw Mark Owen in Thorntons at York, years back, buying chocs for his mum - bless. Once had a brief chat with Frank Bruno in a hotel foyer. Seen lots of the Emmerdale and some Corrie actors around these parts, Leeds, York etc.

I have actually had a couple of UUs this week. Firstly Cerutti 1881 finally spluttered its last and mouthwash has finished. I still haven't had time to list the stash, and it is now spread across spare bedrooms now in places that I have probably forgotten!

I stumbled across a car boot sale yesterday and there were some really good buys, all in their original wrapping and probably gifts. I managed to control myself (only because of this thread!) and came away with nothing, as I did in Boots when I had to pick up a prescription.

IN LIsterine Mouthwash and from Semichem the 500ml botts at £1 are better value than the 1000ml at £2.38, so I had to buy three, didn't I? So much better for travelling, too.

I have almost reach the stage where I will have to go on another cruise to use up all the little bottles of lotions etc. - that I brought back from the last cruise, and the one before that! I should really be able to resist these too, but the squirrel in me just had to bring them back. I think I was psychologically damaged as a child at Christmas by receiving so many toiletry sets all wonderfully wrapped and packaged, that I associate such items with an overwhelming feel-good factor! Thank heavens I can no longer see well enough to use makeup, so that's one temptation less.

A couple of boring uu's to declare:
Bayliss & Harding rose shower gel - eugh! is all I can say, this was a gift and I persevered with it but I hate rose scented products and this was really awful

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like B&H. I bought myself a gift set of iced peppermint but I've been so disappointed and find the sent very manly. And there would be 8 drasted bottles in it to get through

I stayed at a hotel once that ran a gay and alternative disco in the basement and a very fresh faced young boyband were performing there, dancing energetically in studs and leather.

While they waited patiently for their manager near the bar my friend Karen and I amused ourself slightly drunkenly by passing our drinks back and forth and stage slapping each other saying "Here, take that!" "No You take that!" "I'll Take That" etc embarrassing etc. :o:(

They were very nice young men and took it in good part. :D:o

I love the Molton Brown Eucalyptus Shower gel - it is one of my HG shower gels. Would love to try the Eucalyptus and Ginger Body Scrub and in the past have tried and failed to buy in on ebay. When I have got through my current 400ml pot of L'occitane Ruban D'orange ( by 2015 probably) then I will be buying the Molton Brown one!

I'm not a fan of Baylis & Harding - find it drying and a general rip-off of all the Molton Brown scents such as thai vert and the vitalising vitamin AB+C which have been shamelessly copied. Even the packaging has been copied. Shame the quality of ingredients haven't been matched.

Anyway rant over. Counted how many products I have left to use including bath, body, make-up, perfume, sun stuff, travel sizes, skin care etc. and have 189 items:eek:. This surely has to be an incentive to stop me buying multiple copies of next month's Glamour magazine! I do not need to be introduced to another brand. I have heard great things about Benefit products but must resist.

My birthday today and two birthday ins, a Aldi Lacura 5% Urea face cream and an Aldi Lacura Urea lip salve. The lip salve tastes of vanilla and is gorgeous.
I am loving hearing about the claims to fame.
Close - ups of me featured widely on the news on all channels on the day Tony Blair announced his resignation - but I wasn't named so I can't claim fame! Most people who knew me who saw it thought I had a double.

I was at Trimdon Labour Club for Blair's resignation speech and by a series of flukes got to sit near the front of the hall with some of the Labour Party big guns (who probably wondered who the hell I was). There was someone's grand-kid screaming their head off near me, and because I am partially deaf I had to listen really intently to what TB was saying, over the noise of the kid yelling.

The cameras caught this very intense, watchful, serious expression of mine. Actually I was really cheesed off that I was at a pivotal moment in political history and couldn't hear it because of this kid. It must have been a different expression to anyone else as they really focused on it... :o

It was a shot of me that closed the main Ten O'Clock News on the Beeb that night, looking so sombre. :rotfl:
My grandchildren thought it was cool that Nanny was on the news.

I am now off to eat more chocolate ... :EasterBun
