It was a lovely day, thank you for all your greetings - very quiet compared with some previous birthdays, but I spent so long on the phone talking to my sister and SIL I ran the cordless battery right down twice. I've done a little bit of work so as to not get swamped tomorrow.
I had a phenomenal number of greetings on Facebook, which was lovely, a wide mix of virtual and real life friends. Quite a few other people I know share the same day - my brother and SIL's nephew, 3 friends of friends and a lady called Barbara whom I'm linked to in two ways - she is a most excellent volunteer in one of my workplaces, but more importantly, her late husband, John is one of my all time favourite singers. Hyperlinks never work properly for me on here - this is John singing Dougie Maclean's Down Too Deep, such a beautiful and sensitive song.

Happy Birthday Mculloch
Welcome Carolyn :hello:
:rotfl::rotfl:
I saw them too when they were in their leather and studs phaseWe had VIP tickets as my friends dad ran the club they played in but we turned down the opportunity to meet them
We regretted it when they started turning up in all the teen/gossip mags
My favourite CTF is that my MIL & FIL used to set John Prescott up on blind dates when they were teenagersI think he went to their wedding.
Jimmy Saville once accused me of stealing his gold pen, Nigel Kennedy once gave me and two of my friends a private performance in an Indian Restaurant (we were the only ones there and he was with his band - they were all rather tipsy). Twice Graham Norton has been rude to me - once in a gay nightclub in Manchester when he banged into me on the stairs - obviously on something
and once in Starbucks in Birmingham at 7am - he looked rough
and I didn't notice it was him at first - I asked if he had change for a tenner as the SA didn't have any and he just stared at me :eek: and Jim Davidson told me I wasn't pretty enough to audition for his show in a restaurant in Germany :mad:. Not that I ever intended to - can't stand the man - but he overheard a conversation I was having about going back to Drama School and stuck his nose in :mad: On the otherhand Julian Clary was lovely - he chose me as the winner in a karaoke comp when he was in panto - and then I helped carry him down the stairs when he got plastered :rotfl:
oh - and I was featured in The Sun and Your Dog Magazine when my dog was nominated for a Dogs Trust Award in 2008
One IN and UU:
MJ Chocolate Face Mask: WIBA? No idea where this came from - I found it in the linen boxI'm assuming it's DD's but I was unaware she knew where the linen box was so ..... :rotfl: It was really really chocolatey - smelt yummy! Left my skin lovely and smooth so I guess chocolate is good for you :EasterBun Probably WBA if I saw on offer
My CTF is sarah*a.
Have to ask, did you steal Jimmy Saville's pen?
I used to see Christa Ackroyd in the gym a lot, for all you non yorkshire folk she is a local news presenter on BBC look north. She is very stuck up and not very nice. I think she thinks she is massively famous:rotfl:.
Had a nightmare morning with DD, she is vile, apparantely I am the worst mum in the world and don't know how to care about my children. This seems to be because I won't let her watch TV for 104 hours a day, leave all her things all over the floor and hit her brother when she feels like it. As an incentive for good behaviour we offered her spending money this week, 50p a week for keeping her room tidy and 50p for good attitude, but three strikes and you get nothing, she isn't getting anything.The devil makes works for idle hands0 -

am upset as his wedding ring cracked yesterday,it had done this before and cost me more than the original price to get it fixed and now has gone in a different place.He says it is an omen:(He is decideing what to do next,after HRH Wills did not get a ring he says it is no longer the fashion for men to have them.I have offered to buy him a new one BUT will the vicar think I am strange if I ask him to bless it?....maybe we should renew vows and have a party:j0 -
