Is there anyone who's avoided the naughty step this month?
:A ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :A
Am feeling very smug that I avoided all the BS temptations and the bargains in the Avon book.
Still, I've no doubt I'll buy double in June to balance out my good behaviour! No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Hi everyone
Some IN's, OUT's and UU's to report.
IN - OPI serena grand slam rally pretty pink and red shatter :j(off ebay). Have wanted this set for months so really pleased and having sold a fair few sets of toiletries recently it is essentially a no spend.:D
OUT - Burt's bees stuff x2. (don't like honey aromas)
UU - A'kin hand cream, L'occitane Body lotion, OPI gingerlily avojuice -WIBA? - I liked them all but the A'kin cream did not smell that nice to me - I like a sharp lavender smell not a sickly sweet one.
Having used the old C&P - would be interested aswell to see how the Weleda one compares. I know it is a reputable brand though.
Need some advice please. Looking for a tan accelerating lotion and not sure what to go for have seen Gatineau, Ecotan and Maui babe products but has anyone got any recommendations? TIA:)
Hi Bev, would be interested in seeing what you think of the red shatter.
Re: handcream I think I am now converted to the Yes To Carrots one.
Will let you know re: the Weleda cleanser. Am hoping it's a winner.
I've used the Elemis Tan Accelerator and was very pleased with the results I got from it. Was very moisturising as well.Finished off my moisturiser yesterday which was an unexpected uu. Am now on my LE which despite using just the once think I like it. Will see how I feel about it after using it a few more days.
The Skin Repair moisturiser is still a favourite of mine. I used to like a lot more from her range ie cleanser and toner but could easily use something else (re: cleanser because of the change in formula and re: toner it's a bit blumming expensive for what it is!) but return to the moisturiser time and time again. Don't like the new anti-aging one as much though. That one has a funny smell to it.MarzipanFish wrote: »Yeah, I think so anyway! Might be a bad idea if you're doing a 90degree wash or something!
I thought this. Knowing me I would melt it all over something belonging to MrM.
All in all I don't think I've been that bad toiletry wise in May. There was the OPI TSV at the beginning of the month that I could have easily done without but other than that I've been good. Mind you, have been spending my money on Wii games instead! Looking forward to a more frugal month in June.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
