Hi Ladies, i have been loitering for a while and reading your thread and i never knew there were so many people like me when it comes to products and make up etc!!
i was wondering if i could join? ive been making an effort to actually look at my stash and went into boots today putting many things back in the spirit of this thread so i figured it may be time to join! although i fear i may already be on the naughty step before i start as i cashed in on the BS glitch and they have honoured it too
Ax
Hello and welcome! I thought exactly the same when I found this thread and was so glad it wasn't just me who had counted how many shower gels they had!
And the good news is the BS glitch doesn't count since it was before you joined, we are not so harsh as to put brand newbies on the naughty step!
I have 2 UU today, my first for the month :j
although they were both cheats really since they were samples and I have full sizes I have already started and should be trying to finish.
BS strawberry body scrub - WNBA, it was a free sample the SA gave me and as previously mentioned on this thread, it was like scrubbing with strawberry jam. Weird!
Jergens Naturals body lotion sachet - WNBA due to the sheer volume of body lotions I have to use up already. Seemed alright though it's hard to tell from a 4ml sachet.
Its the 10th of the month and I have no ins so far!! (just 21 days to go :A)No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
I keep forgetting to say that I UU a sample of Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. WNBA as it was not very nice
Good job it was only a tiny sample vial. I'm wearing J-Lo Still at the moment and its amazing!!!
UPS tried to delivery my TBS hoard today but I was at work so I should get it tomorrow, so I'll have about 12 million INs
IN today, 2 packs of Bic Soleil razors, the only ones I can use without getting a rash and BOGOF in SD as usual. Only have one rather blunt one left so a necessary spend.0 -
Hey guys, I'm back
Just a quick off-topic note first, I know what you mean sarah*a about having to sit after getting dressed. The worst is not even being able to sit =[ on the odd occasion it's been necessary to lie down as I dont even have the energy to keep my core muscles going when I sit. As a result, my posture is incredibly poor =[
Back on topic:
I intended to get on last night but had a pamper session instead as I'd had a really good day and so was shattered after!
I got ALL my lotions and potions out, started with Vitamin E facial wipes, then facial cleanser, then ran a hot bath with Radox muscle soak, poured a glass of wine, got in, used cocoa butter sugar scrub, pedical foot scrub, and *insert famous brand here* facial scrub (it was a tester sachet so 1 x UU for me =]), my shampoo then conditioner, shower gel, got out, satsuma moisturiser, Avon anti-cellulite lotion with massager thingy, Avon bra lifting gel, Jasmine and Tea clay face mask, then PY(T)N with Love Inc NV in a deep red colour =]
I had my BB to text a mate in this process, was worried I would drop it in the bath... It survived! :j:T
Unfortunately.... My glass of wine didnt =[
I got half way through it, stood up to shower/wash my hair etc, forgot it was there and started washing my hair, so my glass was filled with wine/shampoo water
On another note, my BS orders came through today! =] yyyyaaaayyyy!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Anyway, my eyes are swimming so I'm off to bed now
night girlies =]

I've just been thinking...I started my big bottle of 'Clean on Me' from the S&G Christmas tote box about two weeks ago, and I've barely used any of it. It's going to take AAAAAAAAAAAAGES to use. I think the fact that it's in a pump doesn't help either, as it really does seem to make a difference as to how long it lasts. My theory on how it takes much, much longer to use up a product than I think is ringing true. I will not be splashing out on products for a very long time to come! Please call me 'Pickle'

I've UU the 100 ml Cowshed Moody Cow Body Lotion that came as a magazine freebie a while ago. I actually quite liked this, well I liked the smell. It was a very thin lotion but thinner lotions are fine for the time of year and it also made a change from all of my body butters. I'm glad I've had a uu this morning as if I finish work early enough today, I might be popping to a Body Shop after work to use my Groupon which means there will be a few ins to report.0

I've got one of those to start as well Pickle! One thing I know now is that while bigger bottles of stuff represent good value, I'm in danger of getting bored with them long before finishing them!
My Mitchum spray is feeling extremely light now so I'm guessing that won't be around more than another day or so. I'm also approaching the end of a mini Elizabeth Arden perfume.
Alanis I'd be interested to hear what you think of the Avon Bra Lifting Gel - it's a quite new product so there's not much feedback online yet and I'm sure to get a customer ask about it soon enough!

I like the John Frieda 3 day straight, have naurally wavy hair and find I can go a couple of days without getting the straighteners out!!
Did you update the freebies, until they show as zero? You may have to do this a few times, but eventually it does work.... Dont forget about the fiver off code too.....
...what is the fiver off code?heard mention before but never seen it!Did eventually get the freebies,do BS know what happens on their site?seems very silly that we can get away with it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I paid £26 and £20 for 2 orders with all 3 freebies each time:)trouble is don't really need them:rotfl:and ended up buying other stuff don't need or have never tried(a 50% off spa set last time and another half price serum/eye cream/mask the one before.....sorry forgot to confess all those ins:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.think they got me at a low moment and now am addicted to getting freebies:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Anyone know if a clogged deodorant can be saved? I've tried changing the plastic spray bit at the top to one from a different deodorant but still not working. Do I just have to throw it out? It's too old for returning to the shop.

lynseydee, that sounds very similar to Jamie O's carbonarra which DH makes often. He uses courgettes and bacon though and they are fried together.
I make a slightly lower fat version but it's only because it's quicker (for me) and I always forget cream.
Start with about 1/2 pt of milk and bring towards a gentle boil over a medium heat. Take 1tbsp cornflour and mix with cold water. When the milk is at a rolling boil, add the cornflour mix, stirring continuously.
When you have a thick white sauce, reduce the heat and add to it a good handful of grated mature cheese (I often can't be bothered to grate it though and slice it thinly, it still melts into the sauce). Stir it in well. I then add chopped bacon, mushrooms and sometimes some veg such as broccoli/ cauliflower florets or courgettes. The bacon will cook in the sauce and won't create too much fat or oil and the mushrooms won't get too small.
If the sauce looks too thick, add a ladle of the pasta water to it to slacken it (a Jamie O tip). When the pasta is cooked, drain the water and serve. You can either plate up the pasta and put the sauce on top or mix the whole lot together. I always mix it.
I love cooking. We had stir fry tonight. Leftover roast chicken, mushrooms, green peppers, beansprouts, leek, rice noodles and a garlic and hoi sin sauce. I forgot to add the mange tout and the water chestnuts though.
You can make a nice stir fry sauce with a tablespoon of marmalade mixed with boiling water and poured over the vegetables and noodles. Good with lots of garlic (I use very lazy garlic or a tube of garlic, cheaper and easier and I'm lazy).
er have I strayed onto a cooking thread?:rotfl:I love Jamies cabonarra too:),will have to look out other Jamies as had some good ones from his books.note to self do go to his restauraunt soon(never been as always big queues to get in:(0
