Done :D I think I've managed to keep up with the role call - we've got 71 members so far this month :D

I can't believe they are bringing the FC stuff back this xmas - still at least we know what will be left over in the 75% sale for any teenage birthdays next year :rotfl: I do hope they have another Gok set too - am happy to buy that at 75% off too :p I will be priming OH to be ready for the S&G OOTW if it happens again too :rotfl:

charlie - glad you found the bank details :D How was dinner :p

bev - {{{HUGS}}} What EH posted was superb :T
rosemary - have fun with your DS - you don't need anything from BS :D

xoxo - 10  Really? :naughty:
Kaz - how did the painting go? did you get the other 2 walls done?

Expecting some UU's after my bath later but will add tomorrow. Hoping for a early night and a good night sleep before the hospital tomorrow.

I'll be starting my holiday packing tomorrow too - I get very anal about it and panicky so like to be able to get on with it well in advance - not going for 2 weeks :rotfl:

Another latecomer! I've been really good. One UU L'Oreal Revitalift which was given to me by a friend because it didn't suit her skin. I don't know how much it cost but since it's not my HG moisturiser I probably WNBA.

I'm looking forward to the Alpha H TSV on QVC this week. There are a couple of bits I do need as I have run out and they will be featuring a new exfoliating cleanser too.

dinner actually turned out really well- OH said it tasted really good and was talking about making it next week :) so im happy about that. Only thing that was a bit of a let down was i tried to make dumplings but when i put them in the pan they just went soggy so they ended up getting thrown out. All in all a success though and to be fair it was a pretty cheap meal to make :p

I surprised myself earlier - not sure whether it is as a result of the challenge or something else, but I went to put my makeup on before going out, and realised that actually I didn't need to use foundation at all, my skin's looking really good at the moment. I have been using that Avon Reversalist Night Emulsion that I was so impressed with, and I still am extremely impressed with it (I've been giving all my customers samples of it! :p) so it could be to do with that, or possibly my skin indicating that it enjoyed all the fresh air and sunshine on holiday? Either way, I'm not complaining! :D

Haha - I got her little handbag mirror in the sale, think it was £1.25 and considering I needed a new one anyway I figured that was alright but certainly would never have paid the full £8  The stupid thing is they are still selling it for over £5 even now :rotfl:

Im cooking a new meal this evening and am totally freaking out about it - its a cross between hotpot and stew haha totally made up the ingredients - mushrooms, onion, beef and butter beans etc. No idea what its going to be like - tried to make carbonara last night which turned out utter pants :o

Charlie, I use this recipe which I really like and is really easy to do. I tried finding it on the net but it looks as though the BBC don't have it on their list of recipes anymore.

Prep time less than 30 mins
Cooking time less than 10 mins
    Serves 1

    Ingredients

    110g/4oz fresh tagliatelle
    1 tbsp olive oil
    55g/2oz pancetta, finely diced
1 small shallot, peeled and finely chopped
    1 garlic clove, finely chopped
    55ml/2fl oz double cream
    55g/2oz fresh pamesan, finely grated
    2 eggs, yolks only
    salt and freshly ground pepper

    Method

    1. Cook the tagliatelle as per the packet instructions.
    2. Heat the oil in a small frying pan. Fry the pancetta for 2 minutes until golden.
    3. Stir in the shallot and garlic for 1 minute.
    4. In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk the cream, pamesan and egg yolks.
    5. Drain the tagliatelle and return it to the pan. Remove the pan from the heat.
    6. Stir the pancetta and egg mixture into the pasta for 2 minutes. Serve.

I don't put the shallot or garlic in as 1) my husband doesn't do onions and 2) we tried it with the garlic but didn't like it. Sometimes I use another cheese but for the life of me can't remember the name of it and sometimes add chicken too. I also find you don't need the olive oil to cook the pancetta in as if you start it off on a low heat enough fat comes out of the pancetta to cook itself in. Also I double up the ingredients cos I make it for two although even then it's never exact measurements.

Had a lovely bath and am just relaxing now. I noticed that DD (I think) has been using the sanctuary body souffle as I could smell it earlier when she was down here with MiL and when I went for my bath, the lid was loose. It's nice that I can smell it on other people too because that means they can smell it on me and I smell nice :D.
DH has used an awful lot of the shea body scrub. So hopefully he'll get less ingrown hairs this summer. He's also been using the hemp foot stuff which is good because he has a tendency towards minging feet :p.
I did paint the other 2 walls sarah*a, I had to stop because the paint started peeling off when I was trying to cut in. I shall finish it off tomorrow. Then I can go hunting for the blackout lining fabric and make a blind for the window. I can't wait for it to actually be properly finished because it's been almost finished for 5 years in September :o.

Oh, still not got around to sorting out my fluffy toenails :o but I'm quite tall so I can't see them very well :D

EH - it's nice to feel it's all worth it isn't it :D

Kaz (or should we call you Hobbit :rotfl:) - glad to hear the good habits are rubbing off on your DD - let's hope she doesn't build a stash of her own :rotfl:

    UU's after my bath:
Avon Planet Spa Body Butter: WIBA? I will certainly keep my eye out for any offers - it was lovely and thick and soothing :D
S&G Clean Mary: WIBA? This is my HG (as you know :rotfl:) and I have more in stash :D
Boot Sensitive Expert Conditoning Balm: WIBA? It's great for my hair and will certainly buy again if I can find it - I've been picking it up from the clearance shelves for pennies so it may be being discontinued. I have no more in my stash.

also UU'd the last of my cotton pads so trying out the muslin cloths from tomorrow - will see if I get on with them :D

lynseydee, that sounds very similar to Jamie O's carbonarra which DH makes often. He uses courgettes and bacon though and they are fried together.
I make a slightly lower fat version but it's only because it's quicker (for me) and I always forget cream.
Start with about 1/2 pt of milk and bring towards a gentle boil over a medium heat. Take 1tbsp cornflour and mix with cold water. When the milk is at a rolling boil, add the cornflour mix, stirring continuously.
When you have a thick white sauce, reduce the heat and add to it a good handful of grated mature cheese (I often can't be bothered to grate it though and slice it thinly, it still melts into the sauce). Stir it in well. I then add chopped bacon, mushrooms and sometimes some veg such as broccoli/ cauliflower florets or courgettes. The bacon will cook in the sauce and won't create too much fat or oil and the mushrooms won't get too small.
If the sauce looks too thick, add a ladle of the pasta water to it to slacken it (a Jamie O tip). When the pasta is cooked, drain the water and serve. You can either plate up the pasta and put the sauce on top or mix the whole lot together. I always mix it.

I love cooking. We had stir fry tonight. Leftover roast chicken, mushrooms, green peppers, beansprouts, leek, rice noodles and a garlic and hoi sin sauce. I forgot to add the mange tout and the water chestnuts though :o.
You can make a nice stir fry sauce with a tablespoon of marmalade mixed with boiling water and poured over the vegetables and noodles. Good with lots of garlic (I use very lazy garlic or a tube of garlic, cheaper and easier and I'm lazy :p).
