Yes that is correct.
When I spoke to one of the helpfull advisors at the weekend
he suggested that to me.
So when I called up on Monday to take out the new "Fixed Price 5",
I ask them to "Forward Date" the start date of it to start when the
"Fixed Online 8" finishes. To get the Max discount0 -
just had a look and this is the one i'm on
E.ON EnergyOnline
Designed for people who want the flexibility and convenience of managing their energy bills over the internet.so i aint on any saver plan then???0 -
E.ON EnergyOnline is the default non-fixed tariff you revert to when your fixed price tariff expires. It is up to you to then select a different tariff or supplier.0

I've opted to move from Eon FOL8 to British Gas Websaver 12, I know its not fixed but I think the premiums for fixing are too high at the moment, so will chance this one out, as I've fixed for the last 4-5 years.
I would not worry about the 1st July deadline before switching though because I started the process through quidco and confused.com last week and it is progressing, I've now got my swap dates of 17 July for Elec and 21st July for Gas so well after contract so will keep all discounts etc. My bill is clear as they owed me money, so happy days.
Lets hope with worlds gas half's in price ;-)0 -
My saveonline 2 doesn't run out until August, probably going to lose discounts but dont want to risk fixonline 5 being removed and replaced with something horrendous. Haven't done all the maths but hoping it was the right move to jump now.
Im in the same position but dont know whether to go for fixedonline 5 or not.
Will i still get the extra 14.5 % online discount which i currently get at the moment with saveronline2 ?0 -
A friend of mine on fixonline 8 has just submitted his readings at a higher level than the actual level because his plan runs out on 1st July. He is hoping to save a few quid!Don't waste your words I don't need,
Anything from you.
I don't care where you've been or,
What you plan to do.0 -

Will ONLY work if they don't send a meter reader in within the next two weeks and if he has overestimated wildly then a visit from the reader is a certainty!!:rotfl:0 -

"Your friend" is just naturally dishonest and considers fraud acceptable if it's in his favour then?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Hi Donpacifico,
You can still manage the account online but the Fix Price 5 tariff is not an online tariff and it doesn't offer any extra discount.
You will still get the normal dual fuel, Direct Debit discounts though.
