e.on Fixonline 8 - question for e.on Company Representative on alternatives?

I just called them up and they said if I wanted to switch
over to the Fixed Price 5 product then I would need to
call them back and ask for them to "Forward date" the
start of the Fixed Price 5 to when my current Fixed Online 8
deal finishes (1 July).
I also got them to confirm my annual usage for gas and
elec. So I went back on the comparison sites to check
again and it did not change much.
So I called them back up to go ahead with the switch
and they close for business at 16:00 on a Saturday!!
(even tho the paperwork I got through the post says
they are open untill 18:00 on a Saturday)Just my luck!
I will have to give them a call on Monday
now and hope nothing changes by then!

Just log into your account, put in the meter readings, and you'll find an option to request a bill.0 -
Took the plunge and shifted onto fixed price 5 (from saveonline 2). Interested to see if i still get my discount on final bill, have 14 days cooling off period. I like the fact there is no exit penalty on this plan.0

Just called up this morning and switched to the "Fixed Price 5" costing me £101pm
instead of £74pm when I was on the "Fixed Online 8"
Ive got them to forward date the switch so that I maintain the
maximum discount too.0 -

I'm sorry I haven't replied, I can see some posters asked where I was last week, I was called away from the office last week due to some unfortunate circumstances.
I want to just clarify the points I have made earlier in the thread and to assure you that these are correct.
E.ON withdrew its Price Protection products from sale a few weeks ago. The FixOnline 9 tariff is also no longer for sale and customers can not change on to this now.
I know there was confusion around these tariff's and our advisors have been re-briefed to ensure they know what is and what isn't available.
We currently offer Fixed Price 5 which fixes prices until 1 July 2013 and Age UK Price Protection April 2013. You can see the full details on the E.ON website, as I can't post these.
I am sorry that there has been confusion around our products and also for the bad customer service some of you have had from us.
I hope I have been able to make this clearer.

Eon phone lines very busy but have in the past few minutes also gone to fixonline 5. I am currently on fixonline 8 and they will not effect the change until 1st July so I can get my discounts etc. I have found cheaper suppliers but have had good service from Eon over the years. Just wish I could win one of their competitions!0

My saveonline 2 doesn't run out until August, probably going to lose discounts but dont want to risk fixonline 5 being removed and replaced with something horrendous. Haven't done all the maths but hoping it was the right move to jump now.0
