so sorry to hear your news.
I send you both (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) and will be thinking of you both at this sad time. x
  • Thanks for your mostly kind words, it's comforting (in some way) to know others have been where we are now and come out the other side.
It is difficult to know who to talk to at times like these especially for somebody who is as emotionally !!!!!! as me!
Thanks for the kind words everyone.

P.S. polejunkie, what the hell are you talking about. My wife had a miscarriage and was very ill following that, nothing to do with p ing on a stick? I'm possible a bit to emotional to respond to your comment right now without saying something I might regret.

I honestly didn't ever talk to anyone about it, and I regret it now.

The only thing I did do was burst into tears in my MIL arms, literally the first and last contact we pretty much had, we don't get on very well!

I read polejunkie's post as being supportive ie for ladies ttc who like to test every day or very regularly it can be worth buying cheap testing kts off ebay as they seem pretty reliable.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I too took offence to polejunkie's post but I think he/she may not have read the whole thread and I think it's just an unfortunate clash with the news of the miscarriage. I don't think there's any malice intended with this post x
  • Make-me-wise – thanks for replying. I hope the post was just badly timed.
Relic – maybe it is a male thing to do but talking about feelings is not easy for me. Just don’t know how to drop the situation into a conversation to get the support if that makes sense. I appreciate your words though.
Apricot – thanks so much. I was hoping for good news too, but even in my worst mind I never imagined this.
Southoftheriver – I may have overreacted I don’t know. Still think the post was inappropriate/not well timed.
Please don’t fall out on my account.
Just heard my beautiful lady faces another night in hospital. Just want her home so bad, don’t want to be on my own either to be honest. Wish I could take her pain away.
Off to visit her in hospital. thanks again for words of support, your all so kind.

After going through all she has it is no bad thing that the hospital are keeping her in a bit longer. They are most likely just being cautious and observing her for a while.

    Hello OP,

I'm sorry to hear your awful news. What a very sad thing to have happened to your family.

A friend of mine was desperate to have a baby and lost two pregnancies early on, very close together.

She said that the Miscarriage Association was brilliant and their people helped her to get through it.

You might consider getting in touch with them, as at least you'll find that everyone there really understands what you're going through.

Best wishes to you both - will be thinking of you

    MsB

second that - they are brilliant!

really really sorry to hear what happened. i think its much harder for men, we get lots of sympathy while out partners are expected to stay strong - my dh ended up so stressed about it all he got blue lighted to hospital with chest pains.
