New reputation system

We all now have a new icon under our avatars where members can give each other a rating when they think a post is particularly useful. Like the post count system, there are different levels of reputation according to the number of ratings a member has received. This should give a better idea of the quality of members'…

here's vbulletins manual on reputations. Only had a chance to give it a quick scan

"User reputation can be a derisive element of your forum so great care should be taken before a decision is made to enable it."

with this statement and the fact it appears you can't block negatives.................this function is a bad idea and should be left off IMO:(

Edited to add that after reading the Modifying User Reputation Levels on that link, it's safe to say if the feature's kept, I'll go back to reading posts instead of contributing.

elvis? I think all forums have a sort of ID card with your IP. It's just a part of forum life unfortunately, or fortunately in some cases.

At the moment it looks like a terrible idea, I echo the negative comments already given and I can't see any way of making it better either,

turn it off

Why are most people's rep boxes green but mine is black?
