  • I know what you mean :D but the main aim of it was to show that if I pull my finger out, I have enough time in the day :) and so far it seems to be working.

So combined with that, and myfitnesspal, and the impending gig, I seem to have stayed reasonably on top of things this week. The house is tidier (egged on by friend coming last week!) and even my garden got a mow from my dad today when he came to pick the dogs up. I miss them already :(

I am in tonight and it feels great. I need an early night and will get onto some harp practice after Corrie. I might even have a bath :)

Tomorrow I have my longest wedding gig yet :( so will be very stiff on Sunday. I have a Davina session showing somewhere on Sunday, so hopefully this will help me stretch everything out.

Payday today, so I have taken my cash for the month out. I bought 2 CDs and have £32 left for any little bits such as a couple of drinks in the pub etc. I've paid for my haircut and the drinks in the pub, so apart from paying my credit card bill, I don't need to touch my bank account now. Thanks hypno for the inspiration on this one!

New SOA finally applies from this month so while I don't have any more money, a bit of redistribution has left me feeling like everything is covered rather better than it was before :)

Lastly - Virgin have sent me a letter to say they are increasing my credit limit from £12k to £17k !!!!:eek::eek:

I ask you, how is that helping me with my debt issues!

I will be saying no, thank you kindly ta :rotfl:
  • morning all,

just a quick one for now, but last night's rehearsal was fantastic and I am really excited about Wednesday :j

it was funny getting the harp into the 'shed' at the bottom of the garden (not my garden!), I had to do some very creative maneouvring around a little roundabout of flowerpots, but we made it :rotfl:

I will pop the set list up and will hopefully have some photos later in the week :)

In the mean time, I cannot believe it's August. A busy week to get through here, but in 3 weeks time I will be waking up in the lovely spa down the road from me  ahhhhh bliss!

  • major gossip alert!!!  :j

you might remember I went out in London a week or so ago, and mentioned a chat with a lovely barman? Ummm.....well in a fit of bravery I gave him my phone number, well rather I gave him one of my business cards with a little note on saying call me :D

I didn't admit to it at the time because he hadn't called so I was putting it out of my head.

But...eeerrrrrm....he called tonight while I was in my counselling session and left me a lovely voicemail!!!! Called that is, not texted!

Now I have to have some more brave pills and call him back! hope calling back the same evening isn't too forward these days! :rotfl:

  • by some sixth sense today, I arranged to be in London on Thursday.

Then he called this evening. I rang him back, and we are meeting up for coffee before he starts work in the evening :j

what to wear crisis!!! a sticky day on the tube into the West End then having to look casual and not too done later in the day  :rotfl:

but then, last time he saw me I was a bit sticky and dishevelled and slightly drunk on a lovely whisky cocktail he had made :rotfl:

ooh I'm all giddy now, what a week this is going to be!

  • thanks all! I am very excited, not toooo nervous just yet but give it time hey!

I think the fact that I have tomorrow to get through first is a brilliant distraction :D

I ordered a proper specialist microphone for my big harp last week and it arrived yesterday (not cheap and wiped out what I earned for last Saturday's wedding which was a long one so good money), I need to fit it and fiddle with it tonight. This is all a learning experience because I have never done much with anything amplified before :) a little intimidating but nothing I can't manage I'm sure :)

I had my first lesson with my new harp pupil last night, she is coming on really well already. Her mum sat in on the lesson and I really enjoyed it.

Then I went on for my counselling session which is 5 mins up the road from where my pupil lives. It was good, we talked lots about things with XF as I am still struggling with feelings and lack of understanding about what went on, because of all the lies and covering up that was going on.

It's not a major daily issue any more, but it's good to have somewhere to explore it all. He still has stuff to collect from the house, and we talked about how I will deal with this, which has been bugging me as he will not come and get it. I have a bit of a plan at least now.

We also talked about how when you aren't sure about a decision, it's OK to go backwards and forwards a lot, and this is just a reminder that you havent made up your mind yet and you may regret it if you make a definite decision at this point. I am still in two minds about my house (surprise surprise!)

Riding my bike home on Sunday, and thinking of all the lovely things going on at the moment, I was struck by the thought that I might quite like to just enjoy things as they are for now.

So far if I am more careful with my time, and how I look after myself, I seem to be managing everything that is coming my way, and the things that are coming seem to be good so far.

The phonecall from the lovely barman came just at the right time, as my friend who came round last week is very, very married and there was rather a hint of there being more than just friends. I have felt very, very, very torn on this one as it was a bit of a shock (please don't shout at me, I know how wrong it is), so am taking the phonecall as a sign that this is a road I do not need to go down.

And even if nothing more comes from it, at least I have read some signals right because he rang me. So I am not a complete disaster area in that respect.

Zumba tonight, money under control so far, diet going well and weight is starting to come off slowly but these 10lbs are going to be murder to get off!!
