Keep looking...I'm working on something.0

New Vista Recovery Disc. It has your hard drive Drivers in a separate folder. Create the disc as before and then go back to Startup Repair. This time you can choose Load Drivers and navigate to the Driver folder on the recovery disc.0

Right, will download that. (thanks you so much)
As to the searching in BIOS no matter what I do I cannot enable the option for the SATA drive so it isnt greyed out)
Once i use this Vista Recovery Disc, should I do the dos box fix or should the repair fix the problem so I dont have to do the DOS fix? (i dont mind if still have to do DOS fix, it sounded like that would fix my issue of booting)
Seriously if this disc works i cant thank you enough.0 -
If it doesn't fix it automatically, you can use Command prompt. Instructions here0

ugh, issues
doesnt show the drivers folder,
in Boot (x) it only shows me Programme files, Sources, Users and Windows.
I have had a look in these and it isnt thereI know it was there on the disc, because it showed me on the computer i burned it on and it was there. Dont know what is going on with this stupid PC.

also (because im sure things are not boding well, so i went to read the DOS instructions) (Although im not sure this will work without it being able to detect drivers either) but ill plough ahead
"Replace x: in the commands below with the letter to your CD drive as detected by the Windows Recovery environment"
I wont be able to USE the windows environment to know which drive it thinks is the CD drive at all
but i know, one problem at a time (and if you would tell me when you're leaving the place to continue with real life on your part id appreciate it lots)0 -

Try popping a USB Flash drive to see if that is recognised when you choose 'Load Drivers'. If it is, we can put the Drivers on the Flash drive.
Just had my dinner and now watching TV. I can multi-task.0 -
right, i only have an external HD but i tried that, restarted and yes, it picks it up.
So, get the drivers folder from the Zip ISO and put them to my HD and then load up everything in the drivers file yes? Each bit or will there be only one file from Drivers I need to choose?0 -
Download and save this file to your Desktop. Once saved, double click on it and follow the instructions. It will produce the folder containing the Drivers. Pop the folder on the external HDD. Hopefully you can navigate to it when you 'Load Drivers'.0
