  • Another pic. Restore point options. Thought only had 2 but then clicked option for older than five days. Both pics there. One says undo:restore operation tho :( and that will get done if I go older???
  • @closed can't back up the HD in any way. Can't login to get access to it. Would have to take it out of the computer, buy a box thing so I could connect it to another computer to extract the data. Gonna try fixing before that if possible. Thanks though. Might come to that at this rate. Stupid computer

thought it always was (1st post says blue screen)

backup, restore to factory defaults, or buy a usb adapter instead of live cd, job done

BSOD is not the same as an 'Other User' logon screen.

No, you can back your data up now by using a Live CD and your extrnal drive.

    ok will go do that,

thanks, while im doing that, some "what to do next" would be nice.

and oh, i can? thats good, so if this system restore doesnt work we can get all my data (or however much will fit on the External HD) and then restore my vista using that cd we made?

I feel like an idiot btw.

There should be no problem in rescuing your data at this stage.

Once retrieved the Factory Restore can be initiated from a hidden partition on the ACER's hard drive.

Anyway, let's see if System Restore does the trick now.

:( new screenshot for you to look at. We have no luck at all :(

Also, i hope there is a hidden partition, rescuing my data and killing the thing might be best at this point (unless you can fix this, it happens on both the 16th restore points.)
