I'm thinking of buying one of the BioFlow collars for my dog following advice from my vet. Is it a good option? I'm comparing about £30 for one of the collars to £60 every 6 months for Cartrophen injections.

Try the collar - you have money back guarantee on it (buy from a decent place, avoid cheap fake ones).

It works for some dogs but not for all, you will never know till you try - will you?

    All the best

Any cat owners tried this to help with arthritis:
Stride Plus Liquid for Cats with Glucosamine & Chondroitin - 150ml

Is this the same as Stride Plus Hyaluronic Acid for Cats ?
Every 2.5ml contains: Glucosamine HCl 417 mg, MSM 250 mg, Chondroitin Sulphate 83 mg, Hyaluronic Acid 1833 mcg, Aspartic Acid 4.12 mg, Serine 2.47 mg, Glutamic Acid 3.02 mg, Glycine 2.19 mg, Iso-Leucine 0.82 mg, Leucine 0.82 mg, Phenylalanine 4.94 mg

My boy takes Arthri Aid Canine Feline Liquid
Provides 600mg glucosamine for each 5ml of Arthri Aid plus 240mg chondroitin and 50 mg Vitamin C.

So after initial loading period :
Arthri daily dose provides 300mg Gluc. 120mg Chond. 125mg MSM 25mg VitC 1.25mg Manganese
Stride daily dose ............208mg Gluc. 41mg Chond. 125mg MSM and all that other fancy stuff.
:o If my foggy brain can be trusted.

I would certainly take the liquid route - mine simply refused everything else.
It has made a remarkable difference - new lease of life.

The first few times I dabbed him with a little Arthri liquid (near his nose) a few minutes before feeding - then he didn't smell anything suspicious.
Obviously, I don't let him see me dosing his food.
Good Luck - you should see a vast improvement soon.

    Regarding magnetic dog collars.

If you can not afford to buy a Bioflo one, look for Neodymium disc magnets on ebay.

Tape one of those to the inside of their collar making sure the north side is facing towards the body.

Also tape one to their water bowl (providing it isn't magnetic, if it is tape the magnet to a bottle of water, leave it for about half an hour and then pour that into their bowl).

    ;)

You may have to buy a compass to find the north pole of the magnet if you don't already have a bioflo magnet to compare it to.

This will show you how to determine the poles.
