Mankysteve - sorry to burst your bubble but nobody has to prove this or that to you.

I started a thread and I am happy with the number of answers that I have got - in addition to what I have seen on the net already .. and I have ordered a collar.

You prove to me it works using proper scientific double blind test and Ill have it tattooed across my forehead that it works. It would make no difference what you attached to your dog collar a bit of plastic would have the same effect. Its just a simple case POS hov ergo hoc

Like gettingready says, no-one has to prove to you and I am not interested in your tattoos :)

Paddypaws - where do you get the Vitamin C from and what would be a dosage for a 40kg dog per day?

Is it EsterC that would be suitable? Found it on Boots:

    http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Pharmaceuticals-Ester-C-1000mg-60-Tablets-_1139878/?CAWELAID=607744631&cm_mmc=Shopping%20Engines-_-Google%20Base-_---_-Boots%20Pharmaceuticals%20Ester%20C%201000mg%2060%20Tablets

those are 1000mg tablets, the article mentiones 2000g dose but does not mention weight of the dog... hmmmm

Zara alreagy gets cod liver oil capsules and seraquin...not sure if I could/should add any more fish oil to that and could she also take Cortaflex with what she is already taking?

She had to sit down a few times during a short walk yesterday :(

The collar arrived just now, going to put it on her and see how it goes...

I was thinking about you today and whether the collar arrived. I really hope you have good results with it and Zara is helped by it.

I wouldn't normally choose Boots as a brand, but the tablets look pretty 'pure' and they are on offer 3 for 2....so why not? If the article mentions 2000mg then I would start with that, bearing in mind that she is a pretty big dog. You could always go up to 3 if you think it is safe to do so....Vit C can be laxative in large doses so best try the lower dose for a few days first!!
If she is already on Seraquin then prob dont try the Cortaflex as well right now, but maybe try it next time you are buying instead??
    Good luck with the Bioflow.

Got enough Seraquin till December I think, ordered in bulk last time.....will order some vitamin c for her then.

Just wondered though as will be seeing the vet in about a week abouch change of meds as metacam seems to be doing nothing for her really and need to know if collar/vit c does but she changes the meds at the same time will be difficult to judge...

Collar arrived Saturday morning and put it on Zara straight away.

Monday - bought some Ester C at Boots (3 for 2 offer) and also giving this to her. She was not limping all day today, no dragging her legs at all despite quite a long walk so fingers crossed that one of those (collar or Ester C) or both work - did not give her Metacm today at all she was not limping, not dragging her legs, not in pain - just the Ester C since yesterday and she is wearing her collar non stop since Saturday ....

Ester C was recommended to me by Paddypaws, with this link info:

    I also found those:

Got Ester C in Boots, not from a pet shop:

    Fingers crossed
