A diary of a wonky tiara wearing domestic goddess, aged 21 and **a bit**

Goals for the week:
1. A minimum of three NSD
2. Packed lunch everyday
3. Keep on top of the housework!
4. I have £25 in my purse. Excluding any vets bills, I'd like the twenty pound note to stay in tact.
Pay day on Friday. Hoo-blooming-rayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

Just got back from the bank - again! Right, I have consolidated (for the second time) and am in the process of paying off and closing accounts. I now have one debt and I owe £6700. It is spread over five years. Well, in theory anyway because I want it gone in two. Hopefully less. The good news is that the interest rate is much lower than I am currently on and I can make as many overpayments as I like. Double Whammy!
I think that it will be much easier for me to handle if I give myself mini goals. My first goal is to get the total under the 5k mark by December payday. This is four paydays away. I looked at my spending diary and I didn't actually spend much in the supermarket. Most of my spending has gone on my poorly kitty but I did notice that I tend to spend more just after payday. As long as I can hold off spending for a few more days then I should see a nice difference.
Consolidation didn't work for me last time because I just wasn't ready to face my problems. I am in a much happier place now - nothing like the person I was then. I only did it this time because I was able to get a lower interest rate and I can wage war on MNBA haha
I have chased up my expenses today. I am owed three months worth - four including this month which is just over £100 - a nice loan overpayment if I do say so myself.
No spending today but I am seeing a friend in a bit. That twenty pound note will stay in tact!
ETA ...
The old bankloan has been paid off but for some wierd reason they won't let me close it for a few days as the need to take next months (ie next weeks) monthly payment and then give it me back.
Paid off my CC but they won't accept full payment over the phone so I did it via my internet banking. Will have to nip into the branch or ring again later.:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

I am itching to go shopping but I shall be strong and resist! I am very tempted to nip to my local shopping centre and buy lots of clothes but I can't because I have no money and a poorly cat. I do get paid in a few days but my money has been accounted for.
Sunday - spent nothing
Monday - spent nothing
Tuesday - spent nothing
Wednesday - had a small vet bill to pay (less than fifty quid)
My house is a tip and needs cleaning but my sofa looks too inviting :S
found a solution to my shopping urge ... just converted my shopandscan points into vouchers to spend on clothes. They will take an age to get here so, with any luck, the urge would have subsided by then:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

No you must resist! Look at how well you are doing so far, you will only regret it later if you do splurge. I have caved in miserably before and was happy for a short while after then a few days / weeks later I look at the clothes and think, that could have been another £50 off my debt or whatever! Try some 'free' treats like a nice bath, then get in your pj's on the sofa, dim the lights, light some candles, make your fave hot drink etc. Or paint your nails, that always makes me feel like I have indulged without spending!
Or you could debit your account by how much you think that you would spend on clothes if you shopped, and put it in a savings account for a few days. If you dont miss it from your account, then pay it off your debt!!![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

I did have a slight wobble as I needed some new work pants and couldn't put it off much longer. Eek! I don't need anything else though so I am avoiding the shops like the plague
Last week ... hmm ..
Sunday - NSD
Monday - NSD
Tuesday - pass
Wednesday - NSD
Thursday - NSD
Friday - eek!
Saturday - pass
Four NSD's - that is ok I guess.
I have been paid - yayy! I was very good and siphoned a huge chunk of my wages out of harms reach. I left enough for food and petrol in my spends account though and I am praying that I have plenty left by next payday. I have had a good rummage in the freezer and cupboards and I don't need to go food shopping at all this week. In fact, I could be snowed in and could quite happily survive!
I was very poor last month. Not as poor as I was when the no-good ex left me up to my ears in debt with only £20 to my name but uncomfortably so. Anyway, I have £400 in my savings account and my spending diary for the new payday month is in full swing.
Goals for the new week
1. Lots of NSDs. I need to buy petrol in the week and have a prescription to collect.
2. Put things away when I have finished with them.
3. Early nights
4. Go to the gym at least twice.:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

I need to find my MSE mojo as my bank balance is shockingly awful. I had slipped into my overdraft ... again ... and I have had to move money about to cover it. Urgh!!!! *facepalm*
I get paid in nine days and I have a fiver in my purse. I have no idea how much petrol I have left in my car. At least the good news is that my fridge and freezer are full so I don't need to worry about that.
Anyway ... enough of the doom and gloom.
Goals for the week (and I will stick to them this time!)
1. Gym at least twice a week
2. Five no spending days (except for petrol)
3. Keep on top of the housework
4. Report my progress every evening.
5. Keep focussed!
My gas and electricity bill is due in a few days. I have just entered my metre readings online and paid the bill now instead of waiting until payday like I usually do. That has to be a footstep in the right direction?? I thought that the summer bill was meant to be cheap. Hmm! I should go on the price comparison sites to see if I can find a better deal:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

Today ...
Well, I can't call it a no spend day as I ended up spending one pound on a raffle ticket. Dinner is in the oven and clean pjs are on. Good times!:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)
