    Perhaps its cheaper for the OP to do this than pay the extortionate NHS prescription charge per item were saddled with in England?

    You can always join the private purchasing if you find the subsidised price too much.

    But OP, as a housebound amputee with absolutely no carers or friends/relatives living witin a 30 mile radius, would/should be on the correct benefits to be in receipt of free prescriptions.

    Which benefits are these then ?

    The qualifying benefits for free prescriptions appear to be means tested
