I'll have to get them to look at this too. Not sure I understand how that works.

Check out the Skype Home Page

There are other providers as well like Oovoo

The OP isnt necessarily self medicating, as far as im aware there are "online Pharmacies" where you post your script off, pay and then they come in the mail. I use one for my dogs meds, but I know there are human ones too. Perhaps its cheaper for the OP to do this than pay the extortionate NHS prescription charge per item were saddled with in England? I know its over half cheaper for me to get a prescription from my vets and then use an online pharmacy than get the meds from the vet

Fair enough, I hadn't realised that it was possible to do that, I just thought that ordering drugs off the internet was a bit dodgy, not being able to verify you are getting what you are ordering etc, but I guess there are reputable sites available.

Its important to make sure they are real, hence I stick to the big names. Im sure there will be shysters out there sending fake meds, but I also read a news article about a man being imprisoned for selling fake meds to the NHS, so youre stuck either way!

I really hope this medication arrives soon, the OP is going radio rental on all the vent threads......and what sort of fool gets medication through the post.....
Er, I have in the past, but nothing "critical" - just (generic brand) antihistamines for hayfever as I could get a month's supply for less than what I'd pay in the shops for 5-7 days worth of big name branded.

OP should carry a significant stock amount of painkillers (at least a month) to cover for eventualities like this....the likelyhood of this situation arising was always going to be possible. If the OP is as bereft of 'caring' help as they claim perhaps there is a need for a thread elsewhere on MSE to help them get what they need. Can one of the Board Guides please do it ASAP?

Because people like me who live in england and arent on benefits have to pay per item for prescription items? Its £7.80 per item now I think. In most cases its cheaper to pay for the actual medication itself, as its usually cheaper than the one fee fits all we have to pay.

Judging by your "very north of the border" comment in your location statement you are one of the lucky population of the united kingdom who get free prescriptions due to us in england paying ever increasing charges for ours....

But OP, as a housebound amputee with absolutely no carers or friends/relatives living witin a 30 mile radius, would/should be on the correct benefits to be in receipt of free prescriptions.

This thread gets more and more jackanory by the hour.

If you have an issue with Royal Mail call them on 08457 740 740. Speak to them in the manner you would like to be spoken to. (dont shout, swear or be abusive). I am lost as I thought to have the internet you needed a phoneline? The postmaster was right to refuse it's not his job to redeliver, if you had called the correct people maybe this rant could of been avoided.
