Doesn't their bathroom look good though, and at a fraction of what they were quoted.Well done to the lady who helped them Hopefully they will have a go at the rest of the house.Brilliant programme I thoroughly enjoyed it, watched the rest on my computer. So sensible and not as patronising as the other programme.I loved the children compromising on half white half wholemeal bread. The children were little stars in this programme and not at all phased by the cameras.Normal folk who need a bit of a helping hand to see what can be achieved Well done Channel Four at last they have got it right.I wonder if Simon Wright has a cookbook he seems so down to earth and I love the stick of rock at the end for the best make do and mender

Agreed. I especially loved the little kid singing 'This is a happy day' to himself as they collected driftwood for the bathroom mirror frame. Sure, he didn't actually save me any money while he did it, but he was definitely priceless in his own way :)

One thing I'll almost certainly be having a crack at one day is making some of those fabric storage cubes they made for the bathroom. I'm forever looking for little baskets to tame various clutter spots and trying to work out if they'll fit into an assortment of small places, and now I can make my own solutions to match the environment they're expected to fit into. Much better on open shelving etc than the ugly plastic baskets I usually end up resorting to.

I agree, I loved the wee fabric boxes too. Great idea.

Did anyone see how they did the top of the baskets-did they machine them on the wrong side and then turn them the right way out or did they fold the raw edges in and then machine them? I have some cream canvas left-over from re-seating a directors chair which would be ideal for those baskets.

I sat and watched all of them this morning, but I was arguing with my children at that point, sorry THIRZAH! They are all on 4OD. Just for the record, I really enjoyed them :)

What's the name of the programme? I'm not impressed by Superscrimpers but would like to see more of the same type of programme. Maybe i'll be able to watch it on Virgin catch up TV.
