It is exciting, isn't it? Will a red Roses wrapper suffice?

    Not nearly as stylish!!
Didn't realise you already had some! I'm thinking I'll be in about 11.30am tomorrow as I need to catch the Post Office before it shuts for two days.

Sorry, yes. That's why today was a shock. I'd been hoping to pick up a couple for Sunday evening. Doubt I'll get there that early tomorrow, unless the vouchers are in.

    Good evening all,

I suppose I'm just looking for clarification but I had a strange one this evening. Whilst doing my dtd shops I noticed an end of Finish that was marked at £3.05 for the 800ml rinse aid - clearly a mistake but there was loads there. I took 1 in with my main shopping to check.

Right enough it came back at £5.99. :j

I went back after packing all my dtd stuff in the car and bought the shelf. £100 worth. I went to customer services and she called the manager. The manager was adamant that I was getting only the difference back, not double the difference. I phoned customer services who told me it's at the managers discretion.

I phoned them again and a different person said the same thing. I walked out with the lot and receipt and photo of the price on the shelf with the product in an effort to sort this out.

Is dtd at the store manager's discretion? Do I just send the standard e-mail to the ceo? All help is really appreciated. I'm normally king of the arguers - this is the first dtd one I've lost.:mad::mad:
This is not really a DTD as in this thread it seems to be the one where if you are overcharged they refund twice the difference at customer services ? is that correct?. I admire your front but they can argue you knew what you were doing.
  • Had first trout experience this eve! Desp looked for lads but all had long queues so settled on trouty looking lady hoping to be proven wrong. Trout put through shopping and when I handed her my £16 voucher she leaned over backwards to trout No. 2, waved the voucher and said loudly to her ''one of *those*'' and rolled her beady eyes. Cheeky so-and-so!

Me, cool as a cucumber, turned to OH and while glancing toward her said ''oh, one of those'' and winked at him while pursing my lips troutlike:rotfl:! Was surprised at myself as I'm usually non-confrontational but if she can dish it, she better learn to take it! Her jaw dropped to the floor as she probably thought I'd just stand quietly looking guilty and she'd get away with mocking me for using a voucher! She was was completely taken aback and trout-pouted her way to putting through my voucher.

I plucked out my receipt before she could get her greasy mitts on it and left with a cheery ''have a nice day'' and she just glared till she could glare no more. Looked through the glass window from the car park on my way out and I'm positive I saw smoke coming out her ears :D! Fabulous!
  • Right then peeps, off to sleep for me! Working at 5.30 am _pale_ lol only till 8am though!! Then home to get showered, back out to get my hair cut and coloured, home again to make picnic food then back out AGAIN to go for a picnic with my ex SIL, her new man and my nephews :)

Last night doing the make up for our local musical society tomorrow night and off to see the show after so there'll be an awful lot of catching up for me to do by the time I'm back on here tomorrow lol :)

Hope you all have a lucrative DTD day tomorrow, especially those of you in England who can't get to Tesco on Sunday :D :rotfl:

    Night night :)

Have a great day and goodnight.

My last two vouchers have different numbers to the till receipt - missing leading 1 in the last but one set of numbers.

Is it best to edit these to match my receipt or just have an argument if they raise this - I have the "sorry asda was cheaper price check page" printed too which confirms the price differences.

i've been killing my vouchers each month and starting fresh, i'm not doing a load of emails so it makes it easier to keep track, it's still free money, just turned into free shopping that i'd normally buy

Sorry, catching up, but instead of doing this, if you are wanting to keep to one email address, you could just wait until next month then start your £100 limit again (without having to have another initial spend)?

Am extremely impressed by the various answers to this, all of which demonstrate a huge amount of mathematical skill!

I confess that I can only hold in my head that a £8 rack of lamb will get me roughly £10 DTD and I am happy with that. I usually find that the packs are either about £8 or about £6 -- never quite sure what the £6 ones return, but I just do a guesstimate -- probably about £7.50?

I am just wondering what does this rack of lamb look like please? I get so confused with all types of meat, but I think hubby would love some lamb, but knowing me I will get the wrong one. Is it in a box , packet etc please?

Came back N/A for me from yesterdays shop, bit confused by what goalposts tesco are actually using.

If you are buying boxes think 1 does 6 pack, other is 8 pack, so won't match. I got single Cidre OK on Thursday, but on Friday it wasn't showing on Asda website, but they were back that night, perhaps that has caused a few N/As

She's wrong that it is for quantumatic products, though that's correct for the £5 voucher that some people are using for the tablets. What the £2 Finish coupon does say, in such small print that no-one spots it -- and I only know because an OP pointed it out -- is that it can't be used on the 56 packets.

But I have never had problems using the £2 coupon against the 56 packs -- except today, when, like a first class idiot, I forgot to use one!!!

Thanks. I had taken my stuff to self service and the till had accepted my five pound coupon, but then it all went wrong when I tried to use my £20 DTD voucher and I got sent to CS. Young trout refused to take either coupon. I'm sure they both say quantumatic products only but I am in bed now and can't be bothered to go and check!
