Again, what makes you so sure that you will get it?
You can't claim IS if you're ill anymore. Are you a carer? Lone parent?
People are asking these questions to help you, not to be nosey, but if you want to waste your time applying when people here could tell you whether you're eligible then that's up to you.2019 Wins

You've been advised before that you won't get good advice without giving all the facts.

It seems that you still haven't taken this advice on board.0 -

1 if we change from ESA to IS will there be a waiting period.
2 do you get SMI on IS
3 is there a max length of time you can claim IS.0 -
To be fair only the benefits agency can say if he is entitled to IS or not, people on here can only give their opinion and it isn't up to the OP to prove to people on here that his claim is genuine or not. So badgering him for why he feels he needs to make an IS claim is pointless, if you can't answer his questions ignore the thread.Oldernotwiser wrote: »It isn't up to the claimant whether he "fits into the IS category or not"; that's outside his control.0 -

You dont qualify for IS so no point asking0 -
For (1) if you stop the ESA and start the claim for IS the same/next day then you will not receive any money (assuming you claim is awarded) until they have made their decision but you will get the back dated money paid.dave030445 wrote: »1 if we change from ESA to IS will there be a waiting period.

For (3) I think as long as you satisfy them that you meet the criteria then you get it, I don't know if that changes when you reach pension age however.
As for (2) I don't know to be honest.0 -
