Are you are your missus closing down your joint ESA claim and getting your wife to claim Carers allowance, then applying for the Income support carers premium?

Really it's like pulling teeth, stop being so cloak and dagger! If you give people information when requested they doin't have to search your post history.

If this is the avenue you are going down careful especially if you still get your other income every month is PHI or something of £1600.

Well there's your answer if you still get your PHI you won't get you IS premium and you won't get your SMI etc etc etc. You will only be able to claim carers allowance.

Did we get there eventually? Everything depends on your PHI, really wouldn't go rocking the boat until you know about your PHI especially where your SMI is concerned.

Yes if you get the IS premium due to getting CA you can claim SMI, what are your chances of getting this PHI at £x per month?

Something else you need to bear in mind also CA is a taxable benefit regarding your child tax credits.
