With the benefit changes coming into force, I don't think it matters whether you clain IS or ESA, you would never be 'left alone'.
You would probably have to explain/justify whatever claim is going in.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

If you are ill and you think you should get ESA, go for it.
There is a method in the way ill people are being treated now. It is to put people off claiming, so you "disappear" from statistics and the government don't have to pay you, what you are entitled to.
Just because some people swing the lead and pretend to be ill, that is no reason to treat the majority of ill people badly.
Whatever your illness is, you will get more support from a specific forum, as on here and some other places, sympathy is short coming.
If you have mental illness you can get the **** taken out of you.
Good luck and go for you medical and explain why you can't work at the moment, if that is the case, but don't feel afraid to get what you are legally entitled to!0 -
hi thanks for that as you say friendly help is not one of his forums strong points so thank-you. ive been getting Esa for about 2 and a half years now falled the first medical went to appeal and won and placed in the wrg then 4 month later had to go for another medical which they did a home visit which i passed and was put in the wrg done all six pathways to work and they said they could not find me a job due to my illness. Then last week got questionair to filll out about my condition and as we all no once ive filled that in i will have to attend another medical what more do they want from me. at rhe moment IS seems the dare i say it the easier option.0

Don't give up. Like I said, get someone on your side. Find a group or web forum specific to your illness.
And don't give up!0 -
is claiming IS giving up it just drives me mad and its only going to get worse by the look of things.0

if you are ill and entitled to the money, you should claim.
They want people to give up so it saves them money.
Get some help from your local welfare rights office. I think you ring your local council and ask for them.
Or CAB, but you should claim what you are entitled to.0 -
