Under which grounds do you satisfy the criteria for applying for IS?
Just a general question. You don't mention being a carer or single parent or satisfying any of the conditions?2019 Wins

In the link given above there are two lists of situations where someone might be eligible for IS. Your situation has to be in both the lists and, from what you've said, your situation is in the first list but not the second, so I don't see how you would qualify.0 -

I have given the OP all of the relevant information he needs in order to decide for himself if he fits into the IS category or not.
The OP asked for advice, and not to have to justify to you what he thinks or believes.
He has been given the tools so let him use them. If he has a further problem, no doubt he will ask again.0 -

Im getting to the stage where I am tempted to just go into the medical, tell the assessor just to make up whatever he wants, as that is what he or she will do anyway, and ask if I can lie down and go to sleep for half an hour or so while they compile the usual fairy tale.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

If someone is making a mistake and reading information incorrectly, it's only fair to point them in the correct direction so that they don't have false expectations.
It isn't up to the claimant whether he "fits into the IS category or not"; that's outside his control.0 -
