Morning all, a rubbish night here. Rhys up and down and i just couldn't sleep. Then i turned the alarm off so i'm lucky i woke when i did (hubby let a massive jump out of him and scared the life out of me). So i'm up and cuppa in me.

Need to get dressed and sort the kitchen and finish the back hall.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Mine, however, are ancient feather (they were s/h the first time I got married although I did have them cleaned and re-covered then, and have had them redone since, too) so won't be getting washed anytime soon. I may well see if I can find another dry cleaners to have them done again - or I might have to bite the bullet and replace...*rubs chin as is wondering what to do*
I wash my feather pillows on a hot wash, then hang them on the line for a bit, then bung them in the dryer with dryer balls/tennis balls and fry them. It kills the dust mites and makes them nice and clean :) Obviously if they're now flat, you might want a couple of new ones, but the old ones are still worth hanging onto as spares. I usually wash feather bedding every 6 months or so. I just need to find a laundrette so I can wash my kingsize duvets instead of taking them to the cleaners (I don't like their washing powder). Only the summer one fits in my machine.

Sun is shining here for a change, so I guess I should have breakfast, get dressed and get on with some stuff. I have work to do today and a black tie dinner to go to tonight which I really CBA with. But it would be very rude not to turn up.

    oo thanks for that Greenbee

they are still (after 26 years under MY ownership (the pillows) really brilliant. When i got them they had clearly never been cleaned and when I have taken them in for filling cleaning and new cases thay have been 'as new'. They must have been excellent quality.

DS's bedding is on the line, DD's in the machine - her duvet has no label but I will wash it, he pillows will also be going in...

And the boudoir needs a clean - I have been doing bits in there but it needs a good 'do' - I shall handbrush (to de-hair) the carpet. One day *sigh* I will have non-hair-magnetic carpet in the bedrooms...

    Morning ladies

    Warning _ RANT ALERT

Well we have had world war 3 here this morning. DD was ok until I told her her lappy had been confiscated for 2 weeks due to her bad behaviour last night and said that each time she continues to behave like that the confiscation will last another week. Her reaction was to give me surly looks and its not fair so I asked DH to speak to her. She still wasnt impressed and ended up screaming at him with him chasing her through the house :o. He is now in bed after his night shift and she is I presume in her room. Her room will definitely not be decorated this week and she can explain to all her friends that she bragged too about having a new room, why its not done. I feel like I have wasted a week off though

Anyway cant fly in the bedroom as DH in there and need to sort out the cupboards in the kitchen and see if I can find where Mowsie is getting in - strange set up our kitchen (thanks to the previous botch merchant occupants) as no backs on some of the cupboards due to strange pipework etc. Suggested a new kitchen to DH but he just laughed.

Breakfast and then shower first though I think. Oh and finding a list
