I'm in again this week. I'm only working a three day week so should be able to do everything on the list plus a bit of gardening.
I only joined this thread a couple of weeks ago as the housework was seriously getting on top of me, but since following the daily list of chores I find myself actually looking forward to cleaning and ticking off bits as I do them so thanks to those in charge for getting me back on track

I'm snookered tonight and have done nothing since my last post. Rhys is only away to bed and i think i'll head shortly. Plan is to get up early tomorrow and sort the livingroom, kitchen before Mr T arrives.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0

I'm in again this week - thanks to all at FCC. Had a couple of weeks just lurking while we've got some decluttering and decorating done, we've got a storage unit now so we can put a clutter-free house on the market :T. Plan for this week is to continue taking boxes of 'treasured possessions' aka husband's crap up to the unit and to get back on track with all the housework.
Hope everyone's okayUpdating soon...0 -
Hello everyone.
I'm 7 days post surgery and am surprised at how much mobility I have in my hand. I need to check myself from doing too much or I might develop a loose screw and DH's suspisions about my mental status will be officially confirmed.;)
DD1 has been conducting a very long all day coversation on FB with me re dresses for a hen-do. The outcome of which is a shopping trip to Cambridge on Saturday via train (I'm not allowed to drive for a month). Lovely mother daughter bonding time.
I've been without both my eldest boys last week. DS2 was in France with school and DS1 went to centreparcs with the extended family on Friday. DS3 was 7 on Thursday - where did those years go????
I walked 11 miles on Saturday morning training for the moonwalk and my hips are still feeling rather sorry for themselves. I'm rather terrified about the Moonwalk which is in 4 weeks time as I don't have anywhere near enough miles under my belt. I am aiming to do a 20 mile walk on RW weekend with my moonwalk team. Very very scary.
I'm flying gently, the washing has been sorted and the WM loaded. Kitchen floor has been swept. Bathrooms have been S/S.
I'm going to make a cup of green tea now and try to wind down. I had a painkiller induced headache this afternoon and had to take to my bed (DH was working from home).
Hope every has a lovely week leading up to Easter x0 -
The Vallikids have landed - but my router played up so I got the news s/h from my mum (who has been tracking the flight - bless her she came down to help me see them off, too, on account of she couldn't sleep...)
The vigorous (displacement, obviously;)) activity of today has left me with aching joints so I have decluttered some ibuprofen (the legacy of arthritis, it is) but DS's bedding is in the wash so operation completely wash ALL the bedding goes on apace. If tomorrow's bright and sunny DD's pillows will be going in...
Mine, however, are ancient feather (they were s/h the first time I got married although I did have them cleaned and re-covered then, and have had them redone since, too) so won't be getting washed anytime soon. I may well see if I can find another dry cleaners to have them done again - or I might have to bite the bullet and replace...*rubs chin as is wondering what to do*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Toots Thank you for the update on AnW'smum and the LO, lots of lovely weather vibes winging there way up north to her.
Mumto5 Glad to hear your healing well, speedy full recovery vibes to you.
OH and I took Dogbot for a walk after dinner this evening and up on our return DS informed me that DD had been sick all over her room and it needed cleaning. What he forgot to tell me and didnt mention until I past comment on the police car outside was that, the police had knocked and asked to go through the back to see if they could gain entry to next doors but one as there had been a 999 call from the address. Of course he let them in. Thank god they where really police officers is all that I can think, although DS said they didnt show him any ID:eek:.
DS has been told that he should not open the door to anyone whilst we are out but seems to have forgotten this rule, so until he remembers it he will not be left in the house alone.

"Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k.
