  • Helloooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :T

Hope you are all well? I am good, been busy as per normal and it got to Thursday last week before I even realised. I blitzed the main bedroom yesterday and got rid of 1 black bag of rubbish and 2 charity bags of clothes, some books and some old vases. Just got to take them to the charity shop.

I'll be lurking and posting now and then over the next few weeks.............got SD problems. Nothing major compared to some of what you lovely people go through but its enough!!!

    Flying today:

    1 x washing
Trimmed (ok hacked) the front hedge both sides so neighbour should be pleased, mowed front lawn, killed a few weeds, admired the teeeny flowers on my holly, chatted to my nice neighbour (we shared some bacon crisps).
Then cooked tea, fed dogs and cleaned the hob and sides. Oh and S&S bathroom.

    Not too shabby!

Gonna do my banking now..............thats my frog for today but I only worked out what frogs were 30 mins ago...........:o

    laters.............

    1 step closer

Valli hope the kids have a fab time. Which part of the US are they going to? Is it a school thing?

It's a school trip. they fly to San Francisco and are planning to see Alcatraz, Las vegas, Yosemite, Grand canyon, Hollywood and more...
Flight out was delayed. They're in the air as I type so I won't be in bed anytime soom

Valli the loft ladder takes 2 men to install, and you have to convert your loft hatch to a hinged one that swings down. Mr LW did this without too much difficulty.

He says the ladder flexes a little when you go up, but it's perfectly safe. The only wee down side we've found is that because it goes right up into the hatch, you don't have as large an aperture to put stuff up and down; apparently, you can push the ladder backwards out of the way to move larger items - I'm not 100% sure how it works at this point.

We need to see about getting our cases down at some point soon (hopefully this week) so I'll report back when we've done this, as this will potentially be the most difficult thing we have to move.

But it does mean no more ladder gymnastics to haul himself up into the loft, which was the whole idea of the exercise.:o

I already have a hinged drop down door :D but I am watching your experience with interest

I have been a walk - Moss Valley (and I passed you-know-who's messy church) with my friend THEN came home and spent 4 hours working in the back garden, mowing, strimming, weeding and digging. It has occurred to me to keep my safety goggles in the shed (where the strimmer lives) instead of in the toolbox as they are most often worn when strimming (I am a very good girl - I've been hit with strimmed stones before - I don't need one in an eye) so I am achey and tired but attempting to stay awake untils the Vallikids are on Terra Firma.

(DD was a late addition to the trip after they opened it up to her year - hence the vigorous e baying)
