Where do I start?! OH and I have been getting on! Still not able to talk to him but we've got on. Something has come out of the woodwork though. A few years ago, we run up a credit card well ok I did more than him but he kept saying shove it on there. it's his but we used it to go on holiday and for some new furniture for house. Direct debit set up for monthly minimum payments. Nothing has been said end of that. anyway a statement has come through, I opened it not realising it was his as the statement had moved so could just see address, the total is £9342.52. I can't believe how stupid we have both been. It's awful. His other card has £3678 on it. Both get minimum payments. I am so disgusted and he would be too. So what's the plan make over the minimum payment. I have been to both the banks and got the paying in slips and envelopes and will ensure they are usedfor extras. Would the banks question it? Or do they just process it? My debts are on a dmp, I am sorted in the fact that I will be making payments to them, will that improve my credit rating? I know me and OH haven't got but after this weekend I am determined to give it my all and make it work. We only have one chance at life so need to make the most of it. And it's not fair on dd! Tomorrow I will have a more get up and go attitude! It's the only way forward!
No more wasting time! I will split extra money I make 3 ways - 1 to cc1 1 to cc2 and 1 to my fund. Even if it's 3 p it will get split and then at the end of the month deposit it!

Why don't you take a look at the PAD thread? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3331028
It is really good for keeping you motivated and it is very addictive. You don't need to PAD every day and you don't have to post every day, just as and when, but the principle is great. Even 3p counts!
Great to hear that you and OH have been getting on.
I'm not certain but I think the banks would just process it. They will be happy to be getting their money back so I don't think they would have any reason to question it.

Hi Lost
I am delighted to hear that you feel so determined. Keep going and keep padding. I pad every day from my current account to my Halifax reward account. It might be 90p one day and £10 another but it is very satisfying and addictive.
How are you today Lost?
God bless

Thank you, I am going to do this, thats so good that you are in the habit of doing it daily, I need to get to that stage.
I am ok thank you, a little bit slow at motivating myself but I am getting there, waiting for DD to have a nap so I can rush round and do some bits with the hope that I am going to get the motivation bug!
