Nice to see you Lost

Curling up under the duvet is one of my favourite past times also! :rotfl:
I understand OH wanting you both to have separate finances and to split bills, I believe in that myself, but I think it is fairer to split on the percentage than 50/50 when one of you earns more. I assume that OH works full time and you only work part time. If you were a single parent you would get tax credits on your own to make up your wage so you would be able to pay bills etc on your own. The reason you are not getting tax credits is because they look at yours and OH's wages together as a whole. *I'm not really sure what smiley to put in here*
Well done for getting the money back :T He might not like paying out for things all the time (who does?) but if he wants stuff, he needs to pay for it and you shouldn't have to pay for his stuff!
Glad you got to the pound shop
It's good you are thinking about what you can do to make extra ££'s. That is a positive.
Of course you have made progress. Already your posts sound more positive. You now have clearer ideas about what you want to do and achieve. You have managed to get yourself out there and get Avon orders. You have this place to vent on when you need a rant. All seems better in the land of Lost since post #1 :j
Gap-Land is untidy today
Need to tidy the kitchen (Gap-Sis coming for tea) and probably vaccum a bit. I have been keeping the kitchen tidier recently so probably only 15 minutes work to get it into a reasonable state
Bathroom needs a wipe over too. It is true that it is easier to keep on top of things when you do little things at a time. Think I need to start pushing myself a little bit harder now though because I am just going over and over the same bits now. They are under reasonable control so the things that are not are being neglected
Hope you are having a lovely weekend

Have you tried popping into any local doctors or dental surgeries to see if they want any Avon? I work in a dentist with about 16 staff, 15 ladies - all makeup mad who always order regularly from the Avon lady.
To be honest I haven't so thank you so much for the tip! I will go to see now if they would like a book. I do worry though! I am shy! xx:j DMP started on 1st Oct 11 - 6 yrs 0 mths till DFD :jMay 2018 Debt free date - Mission to clear before!Depression is a challenge, Debt is a challenge and I have been given these challenges to be a stronger person. Its so good to be back!
I am all for the split finances too but we do have a daughter and we do share a home and he works full time!! All I ask for is a little bit of help and not to feel so pressurised, god putting this on here has really made me look at aspects of my life! Realising that it should be a partnership not a one man band! And you are so right about the tax credits. I now work part time and should be helped more. Maybe this is why I am in even more debt!
Thank you so much for being here, the support is amazing and even though I havent achieved much, its so nice to be able to deal with things and look at things from different angles.
You have done so well and thats such a positive that its only going to take you 15 mins to clean your kitchen, thats so good, And it is true about keeping on top of things that its easier and takes less time. But I am the same as you and need to push myself harder. Your doing really well too!
DD is alot better thank you. Fingers crossed she is better now.

I have exercised.... found an old workout dvd, dusted the dust off and am going to make an effort to use it everyday! Yes I feel that if I feel better in myself then I will feel better overall and hopefully have more energy!
So whats on the agenda today, need to go out and get a couple of bits (thats all I ever seem to do)
Need to pay a couple of bills where direct debits have been cancelled and need to rebudget on a big scale! Everything! And then I am going to present it to OH and for once we are going to go through everything, ok so I wont tell him about the debts but this is all to do with the bills and general household running. I cant do it now, I need to sort this out, and then what ever I make from Ebay, Avon and other bits and pieces is mine towards the debt!
Time to get cracking! xx:j DMP started on 1st Oct 11 - 6 yrs 0 mths till DFD :jMay 2018 Debt free date - Mission to clear before!Depression is a challenge, Debt is a challenge and I have been given these challenges to be a stronger person. Focus and determination is the key with hard work!0 -
Realising that it should be a partnership not a one man band!
I think you have nailed it in this one sentence
Well done for exercising :T I started Zumba with Gap-Sis on a Tuesday night and I walk home from work 2 days a week. I have noticed a big difference going from doing absolutely no exercise whatsoever to doing these things. Not only do I feel slightly fitter (i.e. I actually overtake people when I am walking now instead of everyone overtaking me
) but I also feel happier. Keep it up, it is worth it.
Took me 20 minutes to do the stuff that I wanted in the kitchen so wasn't too bad. Then I started seeing other stuff like a spillage on the floor beside the bin and a dirty water drip mark on the dishwasher  so I cleaned them up too but felt really good for it afterwards
Good luck with re-doing your budget. I definitely think you are heading in the right direction. Keep going!!

Hi LostandNervous
I found your diary this morning and wanted to pop in and wish you all the best. You will find so much support here and you will clear that debt. Life is carp sometimes and it pulls you down. Keep your head up pet, don't let them get to you. You are precious and capable.
God bless

To LostandNervous:
There is nothing wrong with wanting to change how you manage your debts and finances and it is always NEVER too late to do so. You may want to enter a debt management plan so you can get great guidance on your money. I wish you all the best. Good luck!0
