    Don't get me started on popcorn... you know sometimes people microwave that as well.

    pimento I work at Mcdonalds and the tomatoes are real??? and if you order a quarter pounder the onions are real too. They use dehydrated onion thats been rehydrated on the normal ham/cheeseburgers and the big macs.

    As said above though, this is the final stage in the process, the burgers are flamegrilled and quickly microwaved at the end to get them to temperature. The flamegrill bit isn't always visible, in some of the outlets you can see it though.
