Monday again :( It seems to be Monday more than any other day of the week. Why can't we have more Saturdays?

I have adjusted my signature to take in this month's loan payment. I have paid £250 in total to it this month but it doesn't feel like it has come down much. Oh well, keep plodding :)

    £1.30 to PAD today.

Off work Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week and next. Really looking forward to some time off. School goes back on 17th so will spend some time with LM before that. :D

    That's about it for now.

It is a beautiful day here today :) The sun is beating down on the office window and causing it to feel like a greenhouse in here. Wish I was outside sitting in it.

£1.30 to PAD today. 40p went to sealed pot yesterday.

Going to go into town on Thursday (I'm on holiday from work then :j) to have bank books updated and move some money from one account to another for Little Miss. Also will need to get some last minute bits and pieces of school uniform. Got money aside for that so no need for me to worry.

I feel so much more in control since I started this diary. It really is keeping me on track. I didn't think I would be able to PAD what I have. I know it is not much in comparison to what some people can manage but for me it is a miracle. Also, I have been so much better at budgetting. I have had an excel spread sheet set up since we moved into our current flat but I have tweaked it and am feeling so much more organised than I was. I know exactly what I have coming in and exactly what I have going out, with dates!

    So far so good today.

Just found £1.55 in a pair of jeans! I had them on on Saturday night and they were clean on and still clean when I took them off so just hung them straight up and forgot I had dropped the change into the pocket :) PADded that right away!!

  • Hi GAP :j for PADing, I will pick the pace up with that when we get back off our hols. As we go in 10 days time, it is all hands on deck for saving for spending money.

Sounds like you have a nice few days booked off work. Do the schools up there finish much earlier than down here then, we don't got back until 2 weeks after Little M?

10 days until your hols Itsa (although it will probably be 9 now :D) that's exciting!!!

I think it was 1st July the schools finished up here. They go back 17th August. Edinburgh trades fortnight is the first two weeks in July and Glasgow is second two weeks. Think it might have something to do with that.

£1 to PAD today. Last day at work until next Thursday and really busy today. Bossman was supposed to be back tomorrow (when I am not here!) but he came back a day early  We were enjoying the peace :(

Must get back to work :(:(

Woo to holidays :j Just spending the last few days of LM's holidays with her, hence the reason I have not been on here much in the past few days. I am still keeping up with the PADding mummy, managed more in the past couple of days than I would have had I been at work :o

Itsa, the Edinburgh Trades fortnight is (or used to be) when the different trades businesses (builders, electricians, factory workers, etc) closed down for the first two weeks in July for them to get their two weeks annual holiday. It probably still happens in some of the trades now but it is not as common as it used to be. So I think the schools here finished up ready for the kids to go on holiday with their parents. I think the Glasgow two weeks are (or were) called the Glasgow Fair or something like that rather than trades but it means the same thing.

Managed to PAD £21 in the past couple of days. I have money ready to PAD tomorrow too! Also have £14 in £2 coins ready to PAD at the end of the month (adding to it as I go along) :)

Little Miss had a dancing competition yesterday and won 7 trophies  Three were for winning and the other 4 were for taking part. She danced 4 dances, won 3 of them and came 6th in the last one. She was quite happy with herself.

Must go make the tea. LM is moaning that she is starving. At the time she got up at this morning, tea shouldn't be due for at least another hour :rotfl:

  • Glad you are having a nice few days  Is LM looking forward to going back to school?

I get Edinburgh trades now, I think lots of factories shut down the first two weeks of our schools summer holidays. My dad used to work for Rover and always had the same set holidays.

How is the living with Mr G going?

Well done on managing to PAD whilst being off work, I normally spend more money whilst we are away :o
