I did have a good night, thanks MissShoes and mummy
Monday again already
£2.60 to PAD today.
Absolutely nothing exciting to tell at all today. Most of the dds are out of account today, just two to come off on 6th (one being the loan - then I can update my signature)
Need to go get the rest of LM's uniform for going back to school. CSA money in sharp this month so I can go soon. Good.
Oh, got a citation for jury service at the end of the month. This is about the 5th time I have been cited. Luckily for me I have only had to do it once. It is the High Court this time so may be a bit more interesting, although (hopefully) I might not get picked anyway so will just wait and see.
That's it for now!

Afternoon Gap, well done on the pad :j.
oooohhh ive never been on Jury service. Do you get full pay through that? Dont be posting anything about the case, we dont want you getting arrested like that woman on facebook!!!
Roll on the 6th so you can update your signature xxMummytogirls x0 -
The court send you a claim form which you are supposed to claim your expenses back on. Some employers automatically pay you (in which case you wouldn't claim). I work in a law firm so they don't even need to ask me any questions, they just automatically pay me (well, actually, I do the wages so I pay myself!!). I have been cited 5 times in the last 16 years. Thankfully I have only had to do it once. I don't think you are allowed to do it more than once in a 5 year period but since I didn't get called the other times they were free to send me another citation. It is supposed to be random off the electoral roll but when I sat on the Jury I spoke to a man there. He was 65 and that was the first time he had even been cited! We agreed that once you are in the system that is you and you can expect to be cited a lot in your lifetime
I won't post anything about the case

This is typical, I am 33 and have never been called, and probably never will, I would LOVE to do jury service. I am dreadful with programmes and books, I love the ones about crime, how they catch criminals, criminal psychology, forensics. I could go and pretend to be you...... :rotfl:Just keep swimming!0

I just turned 34 last month and like I say, I get cited regularly  The one that I had to do was a sexual assault but it was actually quite boring (that is terrible and I don't mean it how it sounds but there are plenty other things I could have been doing). I have never been cited to the High Court before so it might be a bit more exciting. I love crime books, films and programmes too. The Sheriff Court one was just people saying their story of what happened. I hope that if I do have to do the High Court one there will be a bit more in it. I used to be a criminal secretary so I got to type up the precognitions and statements of alleged criminals. I once got to type up an autopsy report. The solicitor who had to be present during the autopsy came back to the office looking green. I have only ever seen someone look that green once before and that was a girl I was at Brownies with who was sick on the bus on the way back from camp!! Even though I work in the law industry I still can't get out of Jury service, I have tried! If you would like to go in my place Itsa you are very welcome :rotfl:
Going to play super mario with LM now!

I watch Crimewatch, then I have to sleep with the lights on! A few years ago a friend of mine was sitting in her livingroom with her husband, watching Crimewatch. When the break came on (or end of programme before the update - can't remember which) she went to make them a cup of tea and when she went into their hall there was a man standing there  He had broken in :eek: She says that was the scariest thing that ever happened to her.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Tried to edit my last post then lost it then it appeared again! Odd. Anyway, Crimewatch is BBC1 isn't it, so it must have been the break before the update.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

My worst nightmare!
I've started not watching crimewatch as I have such bad dreams but to actually find someone in your house. Ergh!
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
I did criminal as well for a time GAP, actually didn't like it which is surprising how much I love crime, gore etc. I just couldn't try to defend someone who I thought was guilty. I had to type up some statements about an ageing !!!!! who had sexually abused his sister since a very early age and I couldn't look my boss in the face who was trying to defend him. I would love to be the prosecutor though
What authors do you like to read?
Not many things frighten me or scare me - but finding a man in the kitchen OH MY GOD!
Now, I can watch the scariest horror, read the most frightening book before bedtime and ..... Nothing...... But I can't watch Most Haunted and then go to bed :eek:Just keep swimming!0
