Morning!
Yes mummy, I will save some of the money towards the new clutch. I had budgetted £250, the MOT was £40, I will be PADding £10 of it, putting £150 towards the new clutch and the final £50 towards the cc this month. I think that is a fair way of working it
Nothing to PAD as yet today. Two days until payday and I am really feeling the pinch.
Had a lovely weekend and am gutted it is Monday again

Hi Gap! Sounds like a sensible plan to me. Oh I love beans on toast its so under-rated imo haha :rotfl:!!
Will you get the clutch done or wait for it to break like id probably do ?! xxMummytogirls x0 -
I will wait until the clutch is on it's last legs
I do have a habit of doing things like that.
I like beans on toast with cheese and I didn't think I had enough cheese but turned out I had mozzarella and a tiny bit of cheddar so I sliced the mozzarella and put it over the beans then grated the cheddar over the top. It was delish!
£1.45 to PAD today. Payday tomorrow!!

I have a small plan (I like to have a plan or two running around in my head
) I started saving £2 coins towards a holiday for LM and I. I have decided that I am going to PAD the ones I have saved so far instead and PAD the ones I save each month. The quicker the loan is paid off the quicker we can have a guilt-free holiday. I just think by the time I save up enough coins, I could have used them to pay the loan off faster and the extra money we will have left (which will be formerly known as the monthly loan payment!) can be used towards a cheap but deserved holiday.
I currently have approximately £20 in £2 coins but I will count them tonight and add them to PAD.
Just had to get that down whilst it was in my headMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Sounds like a good plan. Keep saving and PADding the £2 coins and you'll make a real difference quickly.

Thanks Mrsb
I'm just so desperate to get rid of this debt now. I have had it such a long time and it has only really been in the past couple of months (since properly joining PAD I guess) that I have realised I could have paid it off ages ago if I had done this before now. I am so looking forward to when my PADs are to my savings.

Have added that and £2.40 left over from this month's bus fares to PAD (I have even included tomorrow morning's bus fare in this month's allowance
:D).

Oh Gap I am so happy that things are all going in the right direction with Mr G - have you decided exactly when he is going to move in - have you had his own key cut for him yet? What does Little Miss think about it?
I have managed to replace the tyres on the car for £300.00 instead of £500.00 which is good, but I am still feeling very much like the debt is in control of me and not the other way round so me and Mr Itsa had a "talk" last night. We are child free so sat down with no distractions and went through everything. He is quite good with figures and so ripped my budget apart, but I think we are on track now.
I love beans on toast too - as long as you spread a bit of marmite under the beans YUM YUM!
I nearly had the Monday blues yesterday too but I have blinked and it is now the end of Tuesday - crazily busy with work (which is good) but am not managing to find enough me time at the moment (which basically means MSE time).
The garage man sounds lovely bless him, there are so many dodgy ones out there unfortunatelyWe take our car to an MOT only garage that way they can't benefit from trying to say it needs work doing that it doesn't as they don't do the work so you get a more honest MOT.
Keep up the good work - it will be gone, it will be gone, it will be goneJust keep swimming!0 -
Thank you Itsa. Mr G is moving his stuff pretty much as we speak. His first night in "our" home will be Thursday night (tomorrow) as he has to hand the keys over for his house on Friday morning and he wants to be all moved by then. He already has keys to mine. We exchanged keys about a year ago. Little Miss and Step-Little Miss are both a bit concerned but both quite accepting that it is going ahead. We will have regular family pow-wows to make sure that we are all happy and things are going the right way. I really want it to work. We are looking at it as a temporary situation at the moment but I am hoping that it will all be fine and we can continue. LM and SLM will have their "own" rooms. LM has her room and SLM will have my room with Mr G when she stays. I have moved most of my stuff into LM's room and I will sleep in with her when SLM stays (there are two beds in LM's room). That way SLM feels like a part of the family since she will have her own room to go to with her toys in it. One day at a time, patience with others and realising that we all need to get used to the new situation are the steps that I am about to start climbing
Good about the tyres :T Also good that you have had a chance to sit down together and work the budget out between you. Even when I think I have things under control, it is amazing how another person's input can make me see it from a different angle.
Mechanic Bill is lovely. He owns the garage with his son. I KNOW they won't rip me off. He is really good and I would recommend him to everyone!
Payday today but I'm not overly excited. All the bills are paid which leaves almost nothingI will just have to be a bit tighter this month as I used the cc a bit too much last month, hence not having much left this month since I had to pay it off!
PADded £17.04 today which brings my total PAD from payday to payday to £101.39. I know I am pleading poverty but it does make me feel good when I can see my loan balance coming down. I am using money to PAD which would normally run through my fingers if I didn't make a point of putting it aside so I really wouldn't be better off if I didn't PAD it. I suppose if I PADded it then used it for spending I would be slightly better off but that defeats the purpose of trying to get rid of the loan. One day soon the money will be mine to do what I want with.
Ok, I'm blethering now.
Have a lovely day everyone.
