    I've subscribed!

Love your updates - you've come such a long way.

I was interested to see what you and FF wrote about holidays/treats. I'd love a holiday but can't seem to justify it becuase it's only been 9 months since my LBM :(

Thanks MrsB. I notice that in 9 months you have managed to pay off only £1.5k less than what I have managed in 4 years! I think you have done exceptionally well!! Mr G took me to Lanzarote in January. He paid for the holiday, I just had to take spending money. I only managed to scrape together £200 which wasn't enough  but Mr G carried me! It was self-catering so we had to buy all our food. We had an absolutely brilliant time and we are desperate to go on holiday again but I keep telling him we have to wait until my loan is paid off because I will have more money then. He says he will pay for it again but I don't want him to because I feel guilty. I am very, very independent. I have been a single parent for so long I am used to relying on only myself. LM and I had a holiday together last year but nothing this year because I am determined to get this loan paid as soon as possible to get it out the way, hence the reason I have decided to put away £2 coins separately. Hopefully we will be able to holiday next year. Oh, and if LM and I hadn't had our holiday last year the loan would be paid off now :o:o

Sorry, that was a bit of a ramble :D

No PADs today. The good thing is though, I haven't spent any money in the past couple of days.

Beautiful day here again and it's Friday :j

I think that a holiday will be even more fun debt-free! Hopefully the £2 coin stash will build up quickly and you'll be able to book something great.

We went for 2 nights in mid-Wales last summer, but haven't been abroad since 2007. We have jobs that make it difficult to take time off anyway, but the ££ just hasn't been there either. It's definitely top of our list for when we get debt-free.

We have two salaries going towards our debts which is why we're making such good progress. Still a long way to go though.

Enjoy the sunshine - it's horrid here :(

I was really naughty and took Little Miss away on an expensive holiday last year. I should have used the money to pay off the loan and I would be debt free by now and probably have had the holiday this year instead but I had saved for so long and had a goal in my head so I went for it. It was amazing and so worth it. I don't regret not paying the loan off :o

I have managed £2 to PAD! Feels like I haven't PADded for weeks!! Yes, I did PAD on Thursday but that was last week :D Money is quite tight this month but at least I am not spending much. I have most things in already so only need to buy fresh food each week when I get TC's on a Wednesday. There is just no extra money at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to PAD bus fares a couple of days next week. Roll on payday although most of the excess will go to the steadily building balance on the CC :(

I am really pleased with my plan of buying the heavy and awkward things once a month online from Mr S. That is working really well. I don't have to carry it back from the supermarket and when things are tight like they are now, we have the things we need and live off the weekly TCs for food.

Not much else happening in Gap-Land right now. Going to Toby Carvery for tea. Gap-Parents are away for the weekend (AGAIN) and left us £20 :)

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Absolutely delicious tea last night :D Yum.

Managed £1.30 (bus fare) PAD today.

I'm really chuffed with myself. I have bought Mr G's birthday present without spending any "money". I had £30 worth of points from Shop and Scan and realised I could convert them to Amazon vouchers. I have used Amazon before but never used vouchers before. I managed to convert the points to vouchers and place an order :j (I'm excited because I can be quite blonde sometimes). I know a few years back he wanted a remote control helicopter. His ex bought him a plane and he didn't even take it out the box because it was not what he wanted. I am hoping I have managed to get the right thing. It is a helicopter and it is red. It is smaller than the plane was but hopefully he will like it. He has no idea I am getting this and I only decided this morning when I saw a groupon offer which wasn't actually suitable but it made me look again and I found a better one cheaper!

Got a lovely surprise at work this morning. I have not been spending any money lately (don't actually have any to spend :() but when I got to work my colleague, Joolsie, had bought me a coffee from the coffee shop to say thank you for me being supportive to her over the past few weeks. She has had some personal issues recently and I have just been there for her. I would have done it anyway. The thing is, we probably spend more time together than we spend with our respective families so it is inevitable that we will support each other. However, I am also older and [STRIKE]wiser[/STRIKE] more experienced than Joolsie so I think she looks to me like a big sis :D

So all in all, £1.30 to PAD, Mr G's birthday present without actually spending any money and a free coffee :D:D Good day so far :)

    Have a good day everyone.

£2.60 to PAD this morning from today's bus fares. Got a lift in and car is at Gap-Sis's so will walk to there to pick it up. Having done a quick calculation, if I am prepared to walk home 4 days a week and collect the car on Tuesdays for the rest of the month then I should meet my target of £51.39 in overpayments by next payday (28th). I am a bit disappointed after last month's lovely £90 but hey ho, at least I will still hit the target

Oh don't worry mummy, it is not always easy to get on every day :)

Another £1.30 to PAD today. Not sure if I will get a lift home from Mr G today or not. School holidays so he has Step-Little Miss and they usually do stuff during the day. Brought my jeans and trainers to walk home just in case so that I could make my PAD :D

Can't wait for the weekend and for anyone who tells me not to wish my life away, I would be very happy for it to be last weekend then!
