It is amazing what other people get rid of. I must admit, this time I have gone all out and put loads in including 2 sets of curtains, all my CSI dvds (first 4 seasons) and an old dvd player which does work and has the remote control. We cleared some space in Little Miss's room so there are a few of her things going out. It was funny though because we did her room a couple of months back and when we were taking the bags to my friend yesterday (she will store them at her house ready for tonight) LM kept looking in them and saying "who said that could go out?" and "I wanted that!" :rotfl:
Managed to squeeze £1 out to PAD. Last day of term at school and LM wanted to take sweets. No idea why she still insists on telling me these things at 8.15am on the morning she needs them when we are rushing about trying to get ourselves together but I managed to get us out of the house early enough for her to nip to Mr M's for the sweets. Had to take money out the cashline though but gives me the £1 for PAD, 12p for sealed pot and £5 for my purse (for emergency only!!!)
Soooooo glad it is Friday :j
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

P.S. Just remembered, the £5 will have to go on an emergency bottle of wine for tonight :mad:Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Apart from banging my knee on the end of LM's bed this morning in the rush (OMG that hurt and is still hurting nearly 2 and a half hours later) I am doing well thank you mummy. Hope you are good too

Having a good weekend. Picked up a couple of bits on Friday night including a couple of books, read one already, just couldn't put it down.
Last night LM had a friend over for a sleepover. They were really well behaved apart from coming through to my bedroom at 1am for a blether. But even then, they were not being naughty, they just wanted to talk about stuff that goes on at school. They sat on my bed and we talked for about an hour. Was nice that they feel they can come to me.
Managed a £2 PAD yesterday. Only because we had a McD's for tea and I had some change!
Can't believe the weekend is nearly over:(:( The weather is beautiful here
:D:D
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

Well for someone who was going to have no PADs over the weekend I have done well. £3 in total :j (every penny counts). Today's PAD is £2.60 so getting there slowly.
Going to have to up my sealed pot savings. Got a horrible feeling it won't be as much as I think.
Another gorgeous day here. Absolutely loving it

Cloudy today but I'm still feeling it quite warm
£1 to PAD, some change to sealed pot and I have also joined the £2 savers club to start saving towards a holiday for LM and I next year. I just feel that I am putting all my money towards the loan (quite rightly so) and Christmas and that there is not much fun at the moment. I think if I save £2 coins in particular then I will be able to keep them separate without feeling guilty. Got a blue ceramic handbag with "Holiday Fund" on it the other day. Got £8 in it already and only started at the weekendNow I feel guilty because I should be paying it to the loan
Nope, decision made, got to have something to look forward sooner than the end of the loan!
I'm so tired I'm just blethering now :rotfl:

When I was trying to get debt-free I also saved up money to treat myself. I managed to clear the debts and pay for a couple of holidays (only to Englandshire, but still!) and a new laptop. Having some money to treat yourself helps you focus on the loan too I think. Otherwise you might end up splurging when you don't want to

Thank you FF. That is very encouraging. I'm just so desperate to get rid of the loan now that things are better. It is the only thing from the rubbish past that is hanging over me now. I just wish I had found PAD years ago  I tend to splurge in B & M!!! The last time I was there I spent £30  I needed everything that I bought, I didn't just buy randomly but I also got Little Miss a wee pink hairdryer and pink straighteners. She didn't need them but I knew she would love them and she deserves treats too. She has been with me through most of the bad times. She is my rock
So, £1.30 to PAD today. Updated my sig, now under the £3k!!! Still two christmases away until I'm debt free though, unless the money fairies are looking out for me
