Wedding today. Just about to go and get ready. It is raining though :( Hopefully it will clear up. Wedding is at 3.30pm.

£3 to PAD today :) Maybe I will have some money left over from tonight for a PAD tomorrow

    Enjoy the weekend everyone :D

Had a really good time at the wedding. The weather was pretty miserable but it was a good day. It was all indoors, we didn't have to go outside at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I got told in no uncertain terms that "the men pay for drinks, the women don't" so I didn't put my hand in my purse all night :j There were 12 of us at our table (7 men, 5 women) so we did rather well! Each round was approx. £30 and I know Mr G spent £90 and I am fairly certain it was done quite equally so 21 rounds were bought (I don't drink much so I didn't have as much as everyone else - I'm such a cheap date!! :D) £630  That is a lot of drink! And that was just our table, in total there were 10 tables and the top table :eek: Think the venue did rather well in takings. It was Mr G's friends who were getting married and that lot are all big drinkers who earn decent salaries. I couldn't justify spending that much, especially on alcohol.

Anyway, I had allowed £50 for the evening (just in case) so I paid for the taxi home (£10) and gave Mr G £20 towards the drinks. He was quite chuffed that I wanted to give him something towards it, I just didn't tell him I had allowed £50 ;) It meant that I could go to the supermarket yesterday to get lunch stuff for LM and I for the week and put £10 to PAD :T All in all, good weekend.

I have now beaten my target of £51.39 in PADs for this month's loan payment so I will keep going and see what I have by the end of the month. This is soooo addictive!! But, it is a good addiction to have.

Have a great week everyone :)

Mr G says we didn't have as many as 21 rounds but he was drunk, I was sober, what would he know??

Have upped my target for PAD just for this month since I have already beaten it by half way through the month :j For one month only it will be £71.39 (£20 on top of the original target). I am quite pleased with myself. If I keep going at this rate it will be paid off much quicker than I could have hoped. Not going to raise my hopes too high though, just going to keep plodding. :)

    That's it for today :D

    Hi GAP,
Found you! The diaries move very quick, I struggle to keep up with them most days!

Your PAD sound as though they are going great. I started this month and have so far raised around £70 without even thinking about it! Little and often really does seem to work well.

POSITIVE AND FOCUSED thank you for joining me. I must admit, I have lurked on your diary for a while now, you are soooo inspirational! :D

Tootoo thank you also for joining me. Do you have a diary? You are right, the diaries do move quick. I try to post in mine once a day. Sometimes I remember things later and have to come back, purely to remind myself when I read back in the future! :)

I am loving PAD. I am really addicted. I did try it a few months back and I just couldn't get to grips with it and only lasted a month. This time round though I just can't get enough of it! Now that I have it sussed I would recommend it to everyone. It is one you can continue with when you are debt free just by PADing to your savings account. I look forward to that day! I cannot believe what I have PADed so far, like you say Tootoo, without even thinking about it :T Most of the time I only PAD the bus fares that I don't use and the occasional £1 or so in my purse but this month I got an extra tax credit payment so PADed £20 of that and had a wedding on Saturday and PADed £10 left over from spending money. It is exciting watching my total go up and knowing my loan is coming down by that. Oh, and the people are lovely there too!

£1.30 to PAD today. Mr G can't give me a lift home today because he is going to help out at the school. I decided that I still wanted to make my bus fare PAD today so I brought my trainers and I am going to walk home :A

    Have a nice day everyone!

  • Hi Gap, the wedding sounds like you had great fun. I do think men have a tendency to underestimate how much they have had to drink :p

    PAD also fantastic :money:

Thank you for coming along FF. Edinburgh born and bred, me. Pull up a chair, there are virtual cakes, scones and biscuits (zero calories :j), help yourself! :coffee:

An unexpected £1.30 to PAD today. We were running late this morning and when we got to the school I realised I had also forgotten my bus fare. Luckily, Mr G drops Step-Little Miss off at school on Thursday mornings (she stays with him on Wednesdays) so I managed to find him and persuade him to give me a lift to work! :D

Got a hen doo tomorrow. Ladies Day at the races then limos to the restaurant and then a nice meal. Looking forward to it. Taking the day off work so the weekend is starting early for me :j:j We have already paid for the limos and a deposit for the meal so I don't have that to worry about. Got spending money put aside so just have to make sure I keep enough aside for the rest of the meal. Mr G is working tomorrow night so I will get a lift home from him (the perks of having an OH who is a taxi driver and works nights and weekends! - Mind you, that is the only perk, the rest of the time it is rubbish :()

I might not get a chance to come on here tomorrow so have a lovely weekend everyone :)
