I fared better on the bouncy castle than my neighbour, she went a deathly shade of white and I thought she was going to chuck
When you do your PAD where do you put it, into a jar, or into a bank account from where you make the payments. That is a great achievement of £100.00, I still think I could do something similar with maybe putting a £1.00 in a jar every time I peg the washing out instead of use the tumble dryer as that is what the OH worked out it was probably costing us
I had the Monday morning blues but they very swiftly vanished when I got into work and had that much work to do I forgot the blues. I bumped into my friend this morning on the school run who has gone and got herself a cocker spaniel puppy which did nothing for my puppy broodiness I WANT I WANT I WANT.Just keep swimming!0 -
I have a tin hidden away in my house. I put all my PADs in that and at the end of the month I write a cheque and send it to the loan department. I have only done it once - last month - but I intend to continue doing as I am as it is working for me. I put in my bus fares when I get lifts home / lifts in to work. I also put in the odd £1 out of my purse. I like to try to PAD every day but if I am skint then I just can't. You can see from my signature that last month my PAD totalled £69.42. This was made up of bus fares and odd change of approximately £45 and a further approx. £25 from my salary as I wanted to level off the outstanding amount. My aim is to PAD £50 odd per month so that with my normal loan payment I will pay £200 to my loan each month. I am happy to make up the £50 from my salary if I don't have that much in my PADs tin. This month I got a payment from HMRC for tax credits that I was due and I put £20 to my PAD. Hope that all makes sense
£1.30 to PAD today. Car is at Gap-Sis's house so will walk to there then take the car to Gap-Parents for tea. Zumba tonight! I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Hi Gap, well done on your pads :T.
Enjoy Zumba xxMummytogirls x0 -
I found a money box today in the shape of a pint of guinness? So I think I might just join you in doing a touch of PAD. I am thinking of putting my egg sales money and something along the lines of maybe 50p per time I put the dishwasher on a quick wash or put the washing on the line rather than the tumble dryer. I will use this monthly towards whichever credit card is the highest APRJust keep swimming!0

Thanks mummy
I actually was so exhausted yesterday I didn't really enjoy zumba last night. Might have to think again. I have the opposite problem from most people on the forum, I just have to look at an exercise bike and the weight falls off me. I really struggle to put weight on. I spoke to Gap-Sis about it last night and we have decided that we will weigh me once a week and she will give me her "diet" tips for gaining weight :rotfl: We are going to monitor my weight for the next two months and see how it goes. She thinks that maybe I'm tired and struggling because there isn't enough energy food inside me. Mr G has also been mentioning that I have been losing weight. Ho hum...
Oooh guinness, I like a wee guinness myself. Perhaps I should drink more of it to help with the last paragraphI tried PAD a few months back and I only lasted 1 month as I was trying to PAD every day and I couldn't always do it so sometimes I took money out of the bank just so I could PAD and that is a bit pointless. I have since been told that I don't have to PAD every single day if I can't (thanks guys) and just do it as much as I can. Now that I am in the swing of it I am finding it quite addictive. I can't wait until my PADs are going to savings! It is amazing how quickly it adds up Itsa, I think you will enjoy it
£4.30 to PAD today (bus fare plus £3 coins in my purse). I bought food from Greggs for breakfast (the start of my new "diet"). I haven't spent money at work for ages so I needed a treat. I now need to check with Gap-Sis that I ate the "right" things.
Got the dentist today at 3pm *groan*
So much for me not spending money for the rest of the week, I forgot that I do my weekly shop on a Wednesday (TC day). My brain is not functioning properly
Off to try to earn some more money from OnePoll. I'm at £23 now but the £40 just doesn't seem to come fast enough!

Hi GAP, I wish I had the same problem! Im overweight according to my BMI not massively but could do with loosing a stone or so!!
Re eating the right things, would protein rich foods be the way to go?Mummytogirls x0 -
Yes, protein rich foods would probably help. Also, energy foods and some carbs. I eat mountains of pasta but that doesn't seem to help with the energy. I also think I am probably lacking in some vitamins so I will do something about that. Gap-Sis is helping me so hopefully I will go in the right direction. My BMI is 16.9 according to some websites so I need to add at least 10lb to get to "normal"
Dentist was fine, just a check up and to go back in 6 months as usual
£2 coin to PAD today. Some change for sealed pot. I would LOVE to know what is in my pot!!

I am the same Mummy, I think I am classed as being in the healthy weight zone but I am the top end and I would like to drop maybe between half a stone and a stone.
I was a lot skinnier at one point as I had some probs with my tummy but I was a bit too thin. I was always cold and felt and looked tired. I would say though that I still feel these things now though even though I am not skinny any moreJust keep swimming!0 -
Morning Gap, HAPPY FRIDAY
.
Erm are you not tracking whats in your pot?! I track every penny that goes in mine :rotfl:.
Itsa, I was looking back on some photos a while back when I was thinner and my face looks awful! It defo looks better with a bit a meat on it :rotfl:! Obviously im not speaking for everyone here just me personally!!
I need to stop tucking into the biscuit tin at work, that would help me but ive no willpower.

I had problems with my tummy a few years ago Itsa, that is why I struggle to put weight on. I also feel cold all the time and feel and look tired. I am trying to eat more to hopefully give me more energy if nothing else
Happy Friday mummy! No, I don't track what is in my pot. I like to keep it as a surprise for December. When I first started potting my goal was anything because anything is better than nothing. When I reached £120.95 the first year I decided to make anything above that my goal for the next year. As you can see from my signature, I did rather well at beating it! This year I was going to leave the challenge because I knew I had a couple of big bills to pay at the start of the year and if I potted I would probably have to take money out and that is not the idea. I spoke to SUE and others about it and they talked me into staying, telling me that I could take out of the pot if I needed to, just to save what I could and keep a total of what I took out. Well, in January / February I took out a total of £100  and paid off the big bills. That is it all over now and I don't have to take money out anymore this year (as long as things keep going as they are) and I am really glad I stayed. I am hoping for a decent amount again this year. Can't believe I had saved £100 by the start of the year. Because I knew I could take it out I was more generous with my potting. No more taking out now though, only filling
I found pictures of me just after the end of my illness and my face looks pixie-like - thin and pointy. Horrible. I look better with a bit of meat on me too. I didn't realise I looked like that at the time, I thought I looked quite healthy for someone who had been ill. I'm not keen on men and women looking thin, I prefer a beefy man and I think women look better with a few pounds on them too
Nothing for PAD todaySome small change for sealed pot.
Got a wedding tomorrow, hopefully the weather will stay dry. That is all I have on this weekend but it does feel like it takes up the whole weekend
Have a good one everyone.
