Thanks Itsa
Little Miss usually goes to school no matter what so even although she was genuinely not well, she felt like she was skiving. Back to school today though as she is completely fine :T
A rather grand £20 to PAD today from my windfall yesterday :j I'm too scared to put any more to it in case I run out of money for the rest of the month. I have put a little money towards my emergency fund too. My plan that I am working on with the TC's was to buy in bulk (which I know is obvious and most people do anyway but I haven't done it before) and have it delivered. Things like toilet roll (we get through LOADS of that), bottled water and cat food. Things that are either too heavy for me to carry or too awkward. I live almost right across the road from the supermarket so it is not really practical to take the car but it means that I buy the smallest boxes of washing powder because that is all I can carry. Anyway, I thought I would use the cc to pay for it and then pay it back each week with the TC's and get food shopping each week. However, with having the windfall, I have now paid off the amount on the cc so I don't know how well it would have worked. So far so good though as I have toilet roll, cat food, water, washing powder and kitchen roll to last the month (and quite possibly longer for the cat food and washing powder!). Right, blethering on a bit now.
LM back to school and me back to work todayBoth of us feeling much better though so not complaining about that
I hate feeling ill.
This weekend consists of the following: LM's little sister's 1st birthday tomorrow so we are travelling to their house for a party. LM is really excited. Saturday night will be a quiet one. Sunday, the little boy who lives downstairs from us is going to be 2 and is having a party in the garden. His mum invited Little Miss to go down. Even although she is 10 she absolutely loves little children and is great with them. Also, I think that she was invited so that the neighbours could make noise outside and I wouldn't complain (not that I complain anyway, last time she had a noisy party I went down and asked if I could join!! She said yes I was more than welcome and she was glad that I wasn't going to complain ). Then Gap-Parents' house for tea. Yum
That's it for the weekend so not too tiring. Got a wedding next weekend so resting to prepare for that!!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Just back from visiting Little Miss's Little Sis!! She is 1 today and her mum had a birthday party for her which we were invited to. They don't live in Edinburgh so we had to travel to see them. Got back in just over an hour but I am exhausted now. Good day though
Well after my magnificent £20 PAD yesterday I have PADded a very sad zero todayNothing for sealed pot either
:o Have spent some money but put it straight on the DEBIT card so no change, probably a good thing as I only spent what I needed to.
Off to watch BGT final. Not particularly because I want to but because Mr G loves it and needs someone to talk to about it (i.e. me) so I get roped in. I used to like it but I think these shows are getting a bit old now.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Tell me about it GAP, husband has been watching that trash all week so we are for our sins having to all sit down to watch the final, hence me being on MSE with only a passing glance at the telly
So how has little miss got a little sis? Has your ex had more children?Just keep swimming!0 -
Oh well, watched the BGT final against my will. At least that is another one over.
Little Miss has a big sister, a little brother and a little sister. 4 children, 3 different mums. Ex-OH had the oldest one when I met him. The two little ones came along after us. The mum to the two little ones got in touch with me just over a year ago. Very long story that I don't really want to go into on here but she is not with ex-OH either any more and we have decided between us that it is good for the kids to know each other so we will meet up every few months. It really isn't enough to be honest but because we live about an hour and a half's drive away from each other it is difficult and there is the cost of petrol too. We manage to meet up about 3 times a year but at least the kids know about each other and we send birthday cards and swap christmas presents etc. I still class LM as an only because she grows up with me here, without the others, even although she knows about them. She doesn't have a proper sibling bond with them but she loves them to bits and loves going to visit them!Just for clarification, we have not had any contact with ex-OH for 8 years and as far as I have been told, they don't have any contact with him now either.
Not sure what the spends today will be. The little boy downstairs is having a birthday party in the back garden sometime this afternoon and LM has been invited. Will pop to Mr A's to get a small present in a wee while. Hopefully will get some change to PAD today. I feel a bit lost when I don't PAD now!Going to Gap-Parents for tea later.
Off to look at other diaries before I get ready (not even dressed yet )

Hi GAP, just having a quick catch up. Woohoo to the £304 in your account :T. If it is from them you should probably receive a letter soon. They always pay the money before the letter comes out!
Glad little Gap is feeling better now xxxMummytogirls x0 -
Yes, that is what usually happens, the money arrives and a few days later the letter arrives. In the past I have panicked when unexpected money has appeared in my account but I am now much calmer and I always know there is a reasonable explanation. Also, I was expecting it because I knew they owed me more.:D
Have managed to spend quite a lot this weekendbut apart from a couple of bits from Mr M's tomorrow, that is it until next weekend.
Had fun downstairs with the neighbour and her friends and family for her wee boy's birthday. She had a bouncy castle for the kids and Little Miss loved it! It was cold though(the weather).
Managed a £1 PAD and 31p to sealed pot. Also managed to buy yet another two rolls of sellotape to add to my collection  I was kicking myself when I realised I had forgotten it and had to buy some. I have about 8 rolls now :mad:
Heading to bed shortly. Am quite tired now.
Have a good week everyone

I thought it might have been something along those lines but I thought I would ask before I said something daft. I agree that although they might not see each other, it is important for them to know each other. I think it may help with emotions later in life if there are siblings in the same boat. Fair play to you both for making and maintaining contact, very adult and grown up (so many people these days aren't when it comes to children matters. Ex will kick himself one day when he grows up and realises he has no one and none of his children want to know him
It is very sad as some of the clients we act for are men desperate to see their children, having to put up with 2 hours every other week in a pokey contact centre
Anyway, glad to hear the day was ok apart from being cold, we had a bouncy castle in the road for the royal wedding which the adults could go on, I had a go, it was a weird sensation, when I got off the whole world was spinning and I had to sit down on the floor as I couldn't walk straight. Most bizarre, you never see the kids like thatJust keep swimming!0 -
:rotfl:I can just picture you (even although I don't know what you look like - you know what I mean) sitting on the floor in shock whilst all the children are running around screaming and laughing, having a great time and you are not sure if you are going to throw up or pass out! Sorry for laughing but that is exactly what would happen to me!!
I've seen that at my work too, men desperate to see their children and things being so difficult. My situation is complicated.
Loan payment left my account today so updated my sig accordingly
Monday morning blues, back to reality
Have a good day all.

I have passed the £100 mark with overpayments to the loan now!! As of today it is £100.52 :j:j What I find strange is that I started it on 28th April and today is 6th June so that means in 39 days I have put aside £100. Where did that come from?? That just doesn't happen! Can't wait until I am debt free and that is going into savings
Oh well, plodding on...
