Hello everyone
First i'd like to say Congratulations parsniphead on little Charlie_Joe :j.
I haven't been on for an age as i have done nothing in the house:(, i just seem to be having a massive CBA so my house is slowly (well fast actually) getting back into the tip it was before i joined this thread :(, i really am dissapointed in myself.
I have been trying to declutter my finances so have been over on the Debt-Free Wannabe forum but really need to come back over here and read the threads for some inspiration.
It will be easy to know where i read up to as i press the thanks button after reading each post....at least thats one thing i'm organised with :rotfl:.
I think i shall have a read to try and catch up a little with the posts i have missed out on.
I hope everyone is well and doing better at the housework than i am .

I had a good day. I dyed my hair, cleaned behind the kitchen cupboard (shame no one will see it). I also cleaned by the kitchen bin and the bin lids, the hob ironed a few bits, put away a spare duvet in a vacuum bag and prepared dinner. It's great to have energy but I'll have to pace myself the next few dayS sbecause I'm having visitors and don't want to be ill when they arrive!
I'm going to give the whole house a onceover while I still can. It's great to be ALIVE!0 -
I have been really busy today, I moved all my hobby stuff to DD's empty wardrobe, sorted out my shoes (big job) and bags (another big job) got some stuff for the tip, some for the charity shop, some for ebay and nice tidy wardrobes I can actually see stuff in. Still got a lot of things to move and put away but I still have a large empty double wardrobe in the spare room. I cleaned the family bathroom, culled a lot of half used shampoo etc sorted out the towel cupboard.0

Rigsby - hello - nice to see you backx
Wow its been hot here today - although its lovely I am a winter girl at heart and find this heat really unbearable - too hot to do much but have managed a few bits. Unfortunately our room is an absolute tip and there is stuff piled up on the landing that needs to go into the loft - a job for Tuesday when the weather is better or maybe tomorrow morning if I can persuade DH to do it
Off for some tea now - a sandwich is all I can manage [too heat to eat lol]

Good Evening!
I had posted earlier in this thread about how easy I found it to keep on top of things while working full time, well I have come back to eat my words
Previously things were fine and my house was managable but then I took ill and was trying to work full time as well so things have fallen apart to such a degree that I am horrified  and trying to live in denial!
Mercifully I have a few weeks off so I am going to try and get back on top of things and I think I will be joining you ladies (and gents) on a regular basis until I am back in the domestic goddess zone :rotfl:Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hello Messies and welcome Dee
Well it's been a funny weekend. OH didn't come home on Friday stayed near the job he had worked on till late. DS wake all night AGAIN:mad: swimming lesson for DD yest, my sister and new baby called late afternoon, had waited in so long kids were going stir crazy. Took them to park opposite our house. OH and I were invited to a 50th in Sheffield but I didn;t go, couldn't face it. Was in bed by 7 slept well until midnight when DS woke and got back to bed about 2. Had only managed to keep on top of washing up and bleach dishcloths. I had a kntting course today, was really looking forward to it, OH rang and said drop kids off at his sisters. Too hot so nipped home for desk fan, didn't complete as much as I wanted. OH stayed out till 6 i snook into bed until he arrived home done 2 loads in WM and discovered another load on DD floor!:mad:
OH gone back to work again. So i've poured myself a very large glass of wine and tucking into the 2nd layer of a box of xmas chocs!! too hot here even though we're by the water(just the canal) but the air is so still. Going to bed now and sorting out 1st aid kit and vitamins. Did all prescription tablets other night and holiday remedies, managed to fill a carrier full of expired tablets to take to pharmacy for disposal. Have a good evening all!0 -

Got a book from the library yesterday and have spent most of the time since then reading it. A lot more enjoyable than housework
Did make homemade pizza for dinner and a lemon drizzle cake - I wanted to try a recipe from another new cookbook that I bought, and can't wait to see if it tastes as good as it smells. If it turns out well I might add some finely chopped stem ginger next time to see how that works.
Really hot here today which has also stopped me doing much as I am not a fan of hot weather, and just feel tired - like you Rigsby I love eating and hot weather isn't good for someone of my ample proportioins (although Reubens would have approved of my curves - he didn't paint skinny ladies from what I've seen).
We are predicted thundestorms tomorrow, which likely means a power cut as lightning usually knocks out the power for a while during every storm  have spoken to supplieer numerous times without any7 success.
Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.0 -

I know how you feel Rigs! I'm on a diet atm and if I'm sitting reading or watching tv it feels so alien not having food to munch on! I really don't like it
ETA: I've done nothing today but create more clutter! Though did take Mum's Avon delivery over. Looks like there's been an explosion in my Avon cupboard tbh, it's everywhere. The only step I've taken towards the day's washing up is to fill OH's gravy jug with water so it's not all slimy when I get to it in the morning...
BUT I did get invited to the pub by the other volunteers so obv had to do that instead :P I don't get invited out very often!
Oh just remembered- managed to declutter all 4 drawers of the bureau at my mum's, just the flappy bit to do now, then I can move on to something else. Really got to get to work tomorrow, got a crazy amount to do!

Plan of action for today:
washing up (how OH generates so much is beyond me)
2xWM- bedding and my weekly wash (made me laugh yesterday when OH said we should merge our washing- oh, you mean you put your washing in with mine so I get the pleasure of doing it? I think not..)
Go into town, get my wage cheque, pay it in, pick up some cleaning supplies
Clean the sink in the kitchen
Hoover
Will clean the bathroom tomorrow....anyone got any tips for cleaning up streaky tiles? Will white vinegar do it?
