If i can be bothered to get off my behind and off this then i am going to find me camera.

Then i am going to photograph my kitchen, post it on here and shame myself into getting it done

Might give myself a time limit too. Every room needs tidied today, and as we don't have a baby group on today then i have no excuses for not getting it done!

But i can't be bothered...Ok i'll say it too my name is ruth and i'm a cantbebotheredtodohouseworkaholic

Maggie Bob- I'm lucky in Kings Lynn- it was humid and hot hot hot until the early hours when it absolutely bucketed down and the cool air coming in was divine :)

Snookey- that's really great about your blood sugars, hope they stay stable :) I haven't got kids but when I was that age and slightly younger I was scissor happy- used to cut off my own hair though. Hope the cat is ok and not too stressed.

Right, need to get my butt into gear, got to be at the kennel at 3.30 and got up at 8.30 with all good intentions...have been laying on the sofa ever since! The good news is that I weighed myself and I have decluttered a whole kg in a week of fat off my butt :j

    Have a good day everyone!

Snookey - my DD who is 11 now was scissor happy at that age - she would cut her own hair - I created and told her off but the Nuturing Assistant at school said to buy a couple of cheap dolls and give them to her but only on the condition that they were for haircutting and NOTHING else was to be subjected to a hair cut - apparently for alot of kiddies its all about control - it was with my DD [I'm still finding it hard to let go and let her do stuff!!] anyway, it worked - dolls were handed over and she was given free reign to cut away with a promise from her that she wouldn't cut owt else - it worked, once she was given a way to do it with my full blessing she suddenly became bored with it!! Typical!!! Hope that is of some help or even comfort, knowing that someone else goes through it - 1 time she cut her about half her fringe down to her hair line and cut chunks out of the crown of her hair - she looked a real mess and I made her go into school knowing she had to tell everyone what had happened - if it becomes a real prob get her teacher involved - really works

    Morning all

Oh I really dont want to be bothered today. Been doing so well too. Every bedroom is a mess and I really really need to make a start. I have been wandering around picking things up and putting them down and have achieved nothing so far - then I came on here!

Going to set myself the challenge of seeing what I can get done in an hour.

Oh and as for scissor happy kids, my brother cut off my hair when he was about 8. I just sat there and let him do it!!!

I have been AWOL for a few days as I have a nasty tooth infection. I am maxed out on painkillers and antibiotics - just waiting for them to start taking effect.

The house has gotten into a real mess over the weekend as I couldn't do much so DH took over the cooking and 'clearing' up. He has done his best and kids were kept happy and fed but so much to catch up on now.

It all has to be done as DD turns 4 this weekend so having friends and family over for party.

Have this morning managed to give upstairs and stairs a quick tidy/dust/hoover. Bathroom given once over - will do shower when I grab a shower this evening!
2 loads of washing done too.

Completely shattered now. Going to collect DS from pre-school then my start on downstairs whilst he has a nap this afternoon.

I really want to be sorting out and decluttering but at the mo, I really just have to get the house clean and tidy for this weekend. Also have shopping and baking still to do ...

Right I'll have to stop thinking about how much there is to do in the next 3 days otherwise I'll get depressed!
